3.9 Third Valve Option

NOTE

The third valve option installation requires Technical Support assistance to assist with

configuring the 3

applicator for dual simultaneous programmable pitch and assistance

with setting up dual or triple toggle brackets. Contact Technical Support for additional

information.

The third valve option is available for the DSPP as an add-on toggle bracket assembly. Contact Technical

Support for ordering information.

WARNING!

When installing, performing maintenance, or making adjustments with power on,

do not hot swap the Pitch Motor and Pitch ENC and Sensors cables on the

Z-head (Figure 3-5).

3.9.1 Installing the Third Valve Option

To install the third valve option (Figure 3-5):

1. Perform a service shutdown. Refer to the SL-1040 Conformal Coating System Installation,

Operations, and Maintenance Manual for instructions.

2. Open the front hood of the conformal coating system.

3. Manually move the dispense head to the front of the conformal coating system.

4. Mount the toggle bracket assembly to the right side of the DSPP base plate using the

hardware included.

5. Connect the white tubing from Toggle V1 to the cylinder.

6. Connect the white tubing from Toggle V3 (top) to the right side of the DSPP.

7. Connect the black tubing from Toggle V3 (bottom) toggle to the bottom right side of the

DSPP.

3.9.2 Adjusting Third Valve Option

The DSPP with the third valve option can be adjusted to accommodate any valve combination.

To adjust the V1 and V2 Z height (Figure 3-6):

1. Remove the four (4) screws holding the applicator bracket.

2. Move the applicator bracket up or down to the desired height.

3. Re-install the four (4) screws.
