Taking apart the Cutting Unit and Changing the Movable Blade [1500 Hours]
This section describes taking apart, cleaning, greasing and changing the cutting unit.
1. Taking apart the cutting unit.
∗ Before starting operation, carry out “Return to
origin” on the “Machine adjustment menu”
screen. If they have already been done, this is
unnecessary.
1. Turn off the power.
2. Open the rear center safety cover.
3. Loosen bolts (M3) with a hexagonal
wrench, and remove the cover.
4. Loosen bolts (M6) with a hexagonal
wrench and remove the cover.

DO NOT TOUCH THE CUTTER BLADE WITH YOUR FINGERS.
The edge is so sharp that you may injure yourself.

2. Clean (change) and grease the movable blades.
1. Clean the movable blade, plate, and
guide.
∗ If foreign body is in the slot for movable blade,
blow off it with an air ejector.
∗ Change the damaged parts.

2. Apply grease to the movable blade
and guide.
(Oil : VALIANT U2)
∗ Apply grease a little mainly to the oil groove
and movable part of guide.
3. Set the movable blade.
∗ It is not easy to set blade after applying grease.
Do not force to do it, but manage to align the
angle.
4. Set the plate.
5. Apply grease to the face to which the
cam follower of lever touches.
(Oil : VALIANT U2)
6. Set the lever.
7. Grease the grease nipple of lever
fulcrum.
(Oil : VALIANT U2)
8. Directly apply grease to the rod end.
(Oil : VALIANT U2)
9. Set the cover of cutting unit.
