With a lint-free cloth, wipe off the dirty grease on the rails and
ball-bearing leadscrew of the elevator axis linear guide.

With a spatula, apply grease to the rails and ball-bearing
leadscrew.

Reinstall the elevator axis cover to its original position.

Reinstall the covers [B] and [C].

Procedures for completion of greasing the elevator axis

Turn ON the facility power source.

Open the circuit breaker lever lockout and then turn ON the
circuit breaker.

Insert the key into the main switch and then turn ON the main
switch.

With the <CST UP> and <CST DOWN> buttons, shuttle the
elevator axis between the upper and lower end at least three times
to apply the grease uniformly to the entire axis.

5-3. Greasing the Frame Centering Axis
Operation flow
The procedure for greasing the frame centering axis consists of the following
steps.

Safety items for greasing the frame centering axis
WARNING
If any touch panel control is inadvertently activated during
maintenance or inspection, unexpected machine operation may
cause death or serious injury.
While you don't use the touch panel, press the Disco's logo button
located at the upper left of the screen in order to lock up and
deactivate the touch panel.
CAUTION
When you perform maintenance with the outer cover removed,
observe the following precaution. If you stand the removed outer
cover against the machine, you may receive injury by the cover if it is
toppled by the earthquake or like that.
After taking off the outer cover for maintenance purposes, store it
sufficiently away from the working area.
NOTICE
Neither safety goggles, protective gloves, stepstools, flashlights nor
alcohol, all of which are necessary for maintenance work, are not
supplied with the machine. Use what are furnished in your factory or
what comply with your factory's standards.
