2.5 Important points to note when carrying out main-
tenance work
The maintenance intervals given for inspecting and replacing the filter elements only apply to the
specified compressed air quality (compressed air specification). If other qualities are used, the
maintenance intervals should be shortened accordingly. 2
CAUTION
NEVER use compressed air to clean modules inside the placement machine and the WPC4. 2
Enter the completed maintenance work in the maintenance schedule. We recommend that you
carry out the jobs in the order given in the maintenance schedule. 2

2.6 Maintenance schedule
We assume the following machine utilization as the basis for our maintenance intervals: 2
eight hours per shift, three shifts per day, five days per week, four weeks per month. 2
The intervals must be adapted to suit the shift model used and the environmental and production
conditions. Environmental factors can require the intervals to be shortened or extended, for exam-
ple (clean room, milling residue on the PCBs, paper dust from tape material, etc.). 2
The "daily maintenance" or "maintenance after each shift" means cleaning tasks, and is thus part
of the machine operation. These tasks must be carried out as required,
e.g. the waste container will have to be emptied several times a day, depending on the amount of
waste. 2
