For the 4-monthly preventive maintenance of the 6 / 12 C&P heads you will need: 7
– Pliers for fitting the K hose 2MS-PK-3/4
– Short-bristled brush
– Set of hexagon socket spanners
– Lint-free cloths
– Lint-free cottonwool buds
– Ethyl alcohol
– ISOFLEX TOPAS NCA52
– UNISILKON L250L
– Oil dispenser with Structovis GHD (replaces MULTEMP PS no. 2 grease gun)
– Set of cleaned sleeves (new sleeves, if required)
– Set of cleaned valve plungers (new valve plungers, if required)
– New Z axis toothed belt, if required
– New vacuum distributor, if required
– New O-ring, turning station, if required
– New toothed belt for the turning station, if required.

Preparatory work 7
: Set down the nozzles of all the Collect&Place heads in the nozzle changer.
: Switch the placement machine off at the main switch.

: Remove the head cover.

Remember to follow the ESD regulations.

: Cover the feeder area to protect the feeder modules and front part of the head.

a Open the strain relief.
s Open the retainer over the ribbon cables.
d Pull out the two ribbon cables.

f Loosen the 4 screws on the front part of head (using the 3 mm socket-head spanner) and re-
move the front part.
Hold the front part of head firmly as you remove the screws. 7
Watch out for the vacuum distributor. 7

Turn the star half a revolution to avoid damaging the valve plunger drive with the valve plunger.7

: Place the front part of head on a soft ESD surface (with the valve plunger side underneath) or
place it on a suitable head stand.
: Remove the sleeves and place them in the containers provided.
