a Wipe the star with a lint-free cloth.
: Apply a light film of ISOFLEX TOPAS NCA 52 grease to the running surface of the star brake.
Remove any visible excess grease.

When cleaning, be careful not to damage the sleeve retaining springs in the segments. 7
When you insert the cottonwool bud into the segment, do not push it in as far as the retaining
spring, otherwise the retaining spring may be pulled out. 7

s Carefully clean the segments using a cottonwool bud moistened with ethyl alcohol.
d Remove any visible dirt around the segments.

: Remove the valve plungers.

Vacuum distributor (back part of head) 7
a Carefully remove the vacuum distributor together with the two O-rings.

s Carefully remove the two O-rings.
: Clean them and grease them very sparingly with UNISILKON L250L.
: Check the vacuum distributor for damage.
Replace the distributor if it is damaged (see servicing instructions).

: Wipe the vacuum distributor using a lint-free cloth moistened with ethyl alcohol.

The front part of the vacuum distributor (the side without a ball catch) can also be softened in ethyl
alcohol. 7

: Blow through with compressed air.
7
d Check that the ball catch moves easily.
If it is stiff, replace the complete vacuum distributor.
f Place the clean vacuum distributor and the lightly greased O-rings on a clean surface.
