5. Allocating 8mm-tape feeders, electr., to the left feeder part of machine type "SIPLACE80S"
● In the display area, click on the left feeder part of the machine type SIPLACE80S ("S_S P_80S").
The selected area is highlighted.
● Select entry FD~S_G_8 for 8mm-tape feeders in the selection field "Placeable feeders".
In the "Feeder" selection field, the following entry for feeder, machine type and machine side is
displayed:
FD~S_G_8 S_SIP_80S L
6. Allocating 12mm-tape feeders to the feeder parts of machine type "SIPLACE80S"
● In the display area, click on the "complete" machine type "S_S P_80S" (see Fig. 9.1.2).
The selected machine type is highlighted.
● Select entry FD~S_G_12 for 12mm-tape feeders in the selection field "Placeable feeders".
In the "Feeder" selection field, the following entry for feeder and machine type under the entry for
the 8mm-tape feeder is displayed:
FD~S_G_12 S_SIP_80S
Saving the allocations made
● Select menu option FILE --> Save.
The current data are saved to the set-up info file ".ri".
9.1.4.1 Editing Customer-Specific Types
To edit data of customer-specific types, proceed as follows:
● Activate icon or icon in the command area.
● Select the customer-specific feeder type you wish to edit from the selection field "Placeable
feeders" by double-clicking.
The sub-editor containing the data of the selected customer-specific type is opened (see, for
example,
Fig. 9.1.3).
● Click on the editing field containing the value to be edited and delete the displayed value using
the DELETE key.
● Enter the new value.
● Proceed in the same manner to make further changes that may be required.
● Click on the Select. button if a different carrier for the customer-specific type of a waffle pack tray
is to be specified.
NOTE
Refer to section 9.1.4 from page 9 - 294 onwards, for a description of how to proceed further.
● Click on OK for the edited data to be accepted.
The sub-editor is closed.

9.1.4.2 Copying Customer-Specific Types
Customer-specific types can be copied by proceeding as follows:
● Activate icon or icon in the command area.
● Select the customer-specific type you wish to copy from the selection field "Placeable feeders"
by double-clicking.
The sub-editor containing the data of the selected customer-specific feeder is opened (see, for
example,
Fig. 9.1.4) .
● In the "Name" editing field, delete the characters contained therein by means of the DELETE key
and enter a name for the new customer-specific type.
● Click on OK for the data to be accepted.
The sub-editor is closed and the name of the copied customer-specific type is displayed in the
selection field "Placeable feeders".
9.1.4.3 Terminating the Feeder Editor Session
● Select the menu option FILE --> Quit.
The main window of the Feeder Editor is closed.
NOTE
If modified data have not been saved yet, a warning message is displayed in a dialog box which
must be acknowledged (see chapt. 2, section 2.5).
● Click on Yes to save the data prior to exiting.
The Feeder Editor is closed and the modified data are automatically saved.
● Click on No if you do not wish to save the modified data.
The Feeder Editor is closed without the edited data being saved.
