Cautions about overall electrical items
Once rats enter indoors or buildings, they easily get into machines. They may tear wirings and leave
excrement that can cause serious damage to machines.
If rats tear wirings, it may cause short circuits. And it could cause a serious problem to machines.
If rats leave excrement over printed circuits boards or bared cables, it will be carbonized and may cause
fire.

Below is an example we had fire from a board. (See the pictures below.)
You can see blue-green attached material on the burnt location.
When copper burns, Cuo (copper oxide II) is black and Cu2O (copper oxide I) is red. According to the
blue-green color, the attached material can be considered Copper hydroxide. By this fact, we suppose water
existed on the burnt location.
COUNTERMEASURE:
1．Keep the room clean, neat and organized.
2．Lock up the room with no openings.
If once rats came in;
3．Sprinkle rat repellent.
4．Catch rats with adhesive sheets. (Emergency countermeasure)
5．Hire an rat exterminator.
To prevent damage caused by rats, it is important to keep rats-free environment.
If already rats are in your space, exterminate them by using rat repellent or other ways as mentioned above.

Computer Virus Prevention and Treatment
Recently, reports of computer virus infection on our machines are increasing. It’s supposed that because of
using high capacity USB memory stick for data backup and restore. First, prevention of infecting computer
virus is important but if the machine is infected already the virus must be eliminated by an anti-virus
software. This document describes the examples of prevention against computer virus and the treatment for
the machines that virus infected.
Computer Virus Prevention
We check every machine with the latest virus checker as one of the shipping inspection items. None of our
machine is infected any virus when they are shipped.
The most of infection route is the internet generally. Our machine has no capability to access internet and
no possibility of direct infection. The possibility is a secondary infection from a computer that is connected
with our machines through LAN connection. Common external memory storage such as USB memory stick
with the computer also can be a carrier of viruses.
Virus checker software cannot be installed in our machines. Followings are suggested for the prevention.
* Do not connect LAN with computer that can access the internet.
* Install virus checker software in the computer that shares storages for placement programs.
* Do virus scan the external memory storage like USB memory frequently by the virus checker.
