Safety Guidelines
To prevent injury or machine damage in using the unit, follow the safety guidelines stated below:
■ General
Only trained personnel, who are thoroughly familiar with the unit, must use the unit and enter work area.
To prevent electric shock and machine damage, never do tasks such as moving the machine, connect the
machine to other equipment, or servicing the machine when the power is on.
To prevent electric shock and machine damage, never touch terminals of electric components when the
power is on. Electric-shock labels are affixed to the machine covers under which the live electrical parts are
placed.
To prevent electric shock, ground the unit.
Press immediately the emergency stop switch when the machine operates improperly.
To prevent electric shock, do not operate the unit by wet hands.
■ Operation
The head assembly of the unit moves at high speeds. To prevent injuries, do not enter head, hands and a part
of your body inside the operating unit.
To prevent electric shock and machine damage, do not operate the unit with live parts exposed.
To prevent electric shock and machine damage, do not touch parts in the control unit.
Turn off the main switch, if power failure occurs, to prevent sudden restarting that may cause personal
injury or machine damage.
In teaching mode, axes will move following your operation, to prevent injuries, do not enter head, hands
and a part of the body inside the operating unit. And, confirm the safety for people around the unit and tray
feeder.
The mounting heads will move when scanning the nozzle stations, to prevent injures, do not enter head,
hands and a part of the body inside th during e operating machine. And, confirm the safety for people
around the unit and tray feeder.
When doing Tray Teach, the mounting heads will move, to prevent injures, do not enter head, hands , and a
part of the body inside the operating machine. And, confirm the safety for people around the unit and tray
feeder.
The mounting heads will move when executing ASJ, to prevent injures, do not enter head, hands and a part
of the body when starting ASJ to prevent injures. And, confirm the safety for people around the unit and
tray feeder.

The specified axis will move when taking the origin. Do not enter head, hands and a part of the body when
taking the origin to prevent injures, and confirm the safety around the unit and tray feeder. .
If DO function is operated, the specified actuator will function. Do not enter head, hands and a part of the
body if operating DO function to prevent injures, and confirm the safety of people around the unit and tray
feeder. .
If Actuator is executed, the specified actuator will function. Do not enter head, hands and a part of he body
when operating Actuator to prevent injures, and confirm the safety of people around the unit and tray
feeder.
If warming up is executed, the specified parts will work. Do not enter head, hands and a part of the body
during warm up to prevent injures, and confirm the safety of people around the unit and tray feeder.
■ Maintenance
Turn off the main switch before starting maintenance and inspection. However, if it is necessary to do the
operation when the machine power is on, do not enter head, hands and a part of the body when axes are
moving and secure the safety.
Even after the main switch and circuit breaker are turned off, terminals for lead-in wires are still live. Do
not touch them to prevent electric shock.
The motor would be high temperature when they are working or have just stopped, do not touch motors and
motor drivers when doing the machine maintenance.

■ Detailed Items
When unloading the unit, the center of gravity is changed if movable parts have moved,
the unit might slip from the unloading equipment (forklift) and you might get injured.
Then, XY axes must be fixed by jigs when the machine will be moved.
If the machine has been installed by improper way, the mechanical or electrical problem might be
occurred. Please confirm the machine installation and power cable connection in advance.
The unit is assumed to be used with linking other machines in line. If the unit is used by
stand–alone, some covers which satisfy requirements of EN294/JISB9707 mentioned below
have to be arranged and prepared by customer in order to prevent hands from going inside of
openings.
Even using the unit in line, there might be the opening space at both sides of the board transfer
sections depending on the machine line constitution. In this case, the covers satisfied the
specifications of EN294/JISB9707 have to be fabricated by customer.
The followings are EN294/JISB9707, specifications of safety distance (upper limb) for
clearance.
If feeders are not set on all feeder stations, it is possible to enter hands inside of the machine from
the space of stations which no feeder is set, and then you could get injured.
Therefore, dummy feeders to put on empty stations have to be purchased or some covers satisfied
EN294/JISB9707 have to be prepared for hands not to be able to enter.
Even if the main switch has been turned off, the main power is still supplied from the terminal
XB11 to QS11. There is the possibility of getting electrical shock, so please do not take out or
dissemble covers.
If the machine has UPS option, there is still residual voltage even the main switch has been turned
off. There is the possibility of getting electrical shock, please do to take out or disassemble
covers.
