1. Basic Precautions
Laser Indications
Safety in laser emission is assured with normal operation of the laser
emission lamp. Before the laser is actually used, turn the power of the
lamp to "ON". If the laser emission lamp's turn-on cannot be con-
firmed, then it may be broken. In such case, do not use the V. bend
detection function, and always contact our marketing department or
sales agency to ensure safety.
The danger level and classification according to JIS C6802 and
IEC60825-1, or CRF-Parts1040 are as follows:
Class 1, Class 2 and Class 3 show the danger levels for the laser
beam. Each has been defined, according to JIS C6802 and
IEC60825-1, or CRF-Parts1040, as follows:
Class1 : Safe design laser beam
Class2 : This laser beam is emitted within the wavelength range
between 400 and 700 nm. It is not actually safe, but
eyes could be protected by normal bodily reactions
including blinking.
Class3A : With this laser beam emitted within the wavelength
range between 400 and 700 nm, eyes could be pro-
tected by normal bodily reactions including blinking.
For laser beams emitted within other wavelengths, the
danger level for naked eye is not larger than that in
Class 1.
Class3B : If this laser beam enters an eye directly from its source,
it is dangerous. It is usually safe to look at a reflected
beam.
"Class 1" is applied to the laser power emitted from the V.
bend detection unit, which is assumed to be of safe design,
based on the related regulations (JIS C6802, IEC60825-1 or
CRF-Parts1040).
"Class 1" is indicated on the main machine and the V. bend
detection unit.

3. Pre-Installation Check
Ambient temperature must be 20 ± 10°C and humidity 30% to 80%. Any dew condensation
must be avoided.
When the machine is transferred to another place and the ambient temperature rises more
than the surface of the machine, dew may condense under the condition described below.
Note that dew condensation may cause the machine to break down.
Condition of Dew Condensation
Dew may condense when the differences (based on "Humidity (%)") between the ambient
and surface temperatures of the machine reach the values or more in the table below.
