3. Training
Only a trained personnel should operate the machine.
Mishandling of the machine will cause a major accident.
Training of machine operations can be given on the purchaser’s side or
consult our marketing department or sales agency for the detailed in-
formation on training.
4. Instructions for Exporting Products or Documents
An export certificate or trade permission, issued by Japanese Govern-
ment and based on the Foreign Exchange and Foreign Trade Act, might
be required to export this machine or its instruction manual anywhere
overseas. Also, depending on the US Export Control Regulations, re-
export of goods from Japan might require a Re-Export Permit, as is-
sued by the U.S. Government.
Please contact our marketing department or sales agency, in advance,
when this machine or its instruction manual is to be exported.
Please crush or shred any scrapped goods or instruction manuals sub-
ject to export restriction, so that they cannot be used in any military
applications.

Safety Precautions
"Safety Precautions" describe items to prevent injury to any persons or
cause other physical damage and which are necessary for the safe op-
eration of the machine.
1. Basic Precautions
Do not open the cover on the V. Bend Detection Unit.
The semi-conductor laser in the V. bend detection unit has a maxi-
mum of 5.2 mW laser emission power.
If you look at it directly, your eyes might be injured. Never open the
cover on the V. bend detection unit.

Laser Indications
Safety in laser emission is assured with normal operation of the laser
emission lamp. Before the laser is actually used, turn the power of the
lamp to "ON". If the laser emission lamp's turn-on cannot be con-
firmed, then it may be broken. In such case, do not use the V. bend
detection function, and always contact our marketing department or
sales agency to ensure safety.
The danger level and classification according to JIS C6802 and
IEC60825-1, or CRF-Parts1040 are as follows:
Class 1, Class 2 and Class 3 show the danger levels for the laser
beam. Each has been defined, according to JIS C6802 and
IEC60825-1, or CRF-Parts1040, as follows:
Class1 : Safe design laser beam
Class2 : This laser beam is emitted within the wavelength range
between 400 and 700 nm. It is not actually safe, but
eyes could be protected by normal bodily reactions
including blinking.
Class3A : With this laser beam emitted within the wavelength
range between 400 and 700 nm, eyes could be pro-
tected by normal bodily reactions including blinking.
For laser beams emitted within other wavelengths, the
danger level for naked eye is not larger than that in
Class 1.
Class3B : If this laser beam enters an eye directly from its source,
it is dangerous. It is usually safe to look at a reflected
beam.
"Class 1" is applied to the laser power emitted from the V.
bend detection unit, which is assumed to be of safe design,
based on the related regulations (JIS C6802, IEC60825-1 or
CRF-Parts1040).
"Class 1" is indicated on the main machine and the V. bend
detection unit.
