0.1.4 About the SIPLACE 80S-20 Placement Machine
The SIPLACE 80S-20 placement machine is a modularly designed high-performance placement system with
double gantry axes and two turret placement heads at each station. While one placement head picks up com-
ponents from the feeder modules, the other placement head inserts the components it has already picked up.
Vision systems for board position recognition and components centering also contribute to the high quality of
placement.
The line computer working with the UNIX operating system supplies the SIPLACE 80S-20 machine with the
data it needs. It is also possible to link the machine via this line computer to a higher-level data processing
system.
It is also possible to link the machine to input and output units, screen printing units and soldering ovens.
0.1.5 About the SIPLACE 80F
Placement Machine
The SIPLACE 80F placement machine is a modularly designed high-performance placement system with one
turret placement head and one IC head at the one gantry. First the components picked up by the turret head
are inserted and then the components picked up by the IC head.
Vision systems for board position recognition and components centering also contribute to the high quality of
placement.
The line computer working with the UNIX operating system supplies the SIPLACE 80F machine with the data
it needs. It is also possible to link the machine via this line computer to a higher-level data processing.
As an option, Wafflepack changers for furnishing components can also be installed.
It is also possible to link the machine to input and output units, screen printing units and soldering ovens.
