1.2.1 Factory Layout - SIPLACE Explorer Server
1.2.1.1 Hardware
We recommend using an Econel 50. If your system uses other hardware, this hardware must meet
the following requirements: 1
– 3.2 GHz processor
–2 GB RAM
– 80 GB available hard-disk space
Systems using low performance hardware may only deliver reduced process performance. 1
1.2.1.2 Software
– System environment - one of the following versions:
– Windows 2003 server with SP1
– Windows 2003 server R2
– If you are unable to upgrade the system environment:
Windows 2000 server with SP4
NOTE
Although the Windows 2000 server with SP4 is supported by the SIPLACE products, this sys-
tem environment is not the recommended one for SIPLACE products. 1
– Database: Microsoft SQL 2000 with SP4
– Java Runtime Environment (J2SE RTE 5.0 update 7 or SDK 5.0),
included on the installation CD
– Apache Tomcat v.5.5.9 web server,
included on the installation CD
– MS Internet Explorer 6.0 SP1,
included on the installation CD
– MS XML Core Services 4.0 SP 1,
included on the installation CD
– MS Excel 2000 or 2003 (required for the PC on which Factory Reporting is to be installed).
– Acrobat Reader 6.0
included on the installation CD

1.2.2.1 Hardware

1.2.3 Supported Data Sources
SIPLACE Explorer V2.1 supports data from the following SIPLACE products: 1
– OIS 4.1, SIS 4.1, SIPLACE Pro 4.1
– OIS 4.0, SIS 4.0, SIPLACE Pro 4.0
– OIS 3.1, SIS 3.1, SIPLACE Pro 3.2
The following versions are supported but if problems should occur, you will need to update these
versions to those shown above. 1
– OIS2.4 SP1, SIS 1.2 SP1, SIPLACE Pro 2.1 SP2

SIPLACE Explorer V2.1 supports data from the following station software versions: 1
– SW 603.01
– SW 602.01
– SW 601.03 SP 2
– SW 601.03 SP 1
– SW 505.04
– SW 505.03 SP 1
– SW 407.04 SP 1
– SW 408.01
The following version is supported but if problems should occur, you will need to update it to the
version shown above. 1
– SW 503.04 SP 2, this version is only suitable if an update to SW 505.03 SP 1 is not possible
due to hardware restrictions.
NOTE
If you want to use the station software 505.03 SP1 or 505.04 along with the transport option
Synchronous double conveyor, you must install the patch:
- 505.03 SP1: 505.03 SP1 Patch OIS sync. DC
- 505.04: 505.04 Hotfix 1 1
