Always observe applicable safety and accident prevention regulations
when carrying out servicing, set-up and replacement work.
Follow all safety instructions in this service guide, and the “Operational
safety” section in the previous operating manual.
Always wear protective goggles when starting the open system in Service
mode.
Always wear protective goggles and gloves when carrying out cleaning
work on the system.
When cleaning agent accidentally enters an eye, watch it out immediately
with water.
Do not eat or drink at the workplace.
Do not smoke as flammable vapours may result.

Personnel must wear the protective clothing above when carrying out clean-
ing and maintenance work on the system.
Note!
The personal protective equipment must have a CE label confirming that
the manufacturer has fulfilled the requirements of EC directives and EN
standards in the production of the personal protective equipment.

2 Maintenance
All of the tasks required for keeping the system in safe operating condition
are described in this chapter.
2.1 General Notes
Only original replacement parts and authorized accessories from
Rehm Thermal Systems GmbH may be used. The use of other parts impairs
system safety, and may void the manufacturer’s liability for damages result-
ing therefrom.
2.2 Recommendations for the use of chemical cleaning agents
Please use only alcohol-free, non-flammable or flame-retardant agents for
cleaning the soldering oven.
The following tools, consumable materials and auxiliary materials are re-
quired for the performance of maintenance work.
Tools:
Standard tools such as hex keys and wrenches
Ratchet with socket set
Puller with M8 thread
Plastic hammer
Prying tool
Putty knife
Vacuum cleaner
Brush
Note!
If maintenance / repair work is done by personnel without an appro-
priate training by Rehm, Rehm declines all claims under warranty.
Note!
Before closing the oven, it is essential to check that no cleaning agent con-
tainers (bottles, tins etc.) have been left in the oven chamber!
