à Remove the cover plate holder (incl. cover plate), the tape deflector holder incl. tape deflector
and the two holddowns incl. the spacers, as described in Section 11.6.3.
The version 03 holddowns match the version 04 cutters (= with tape deflector).
Blades and spacers are attuned (= match).
à Loosen the screws fastening the 2 rubber-metal vibration dampers on the left and right (one
M4 socket hex head cap screw on each: see Fig. 11.4.3 -> 9).
à Lift the cutter off the rubber-metal vibration dampers on the cutter holders.
à Working from the bottom, loosen the srews fastening all 4 rubber-metal vibration dampers to
the cutter holder (one M4 socket hex screw each: see Fig. 11.4.3 -> 9).
à Make certain that disks and spring washers previously removed are placed back under the vi-
bration dampers (see Fig. 11.4.3 -> 12 and Fig. 11.4.2 -> 18).
à Place the 4 new rubber-metal vibration dampers (Item no.: see Section 11.2) on the retaining
brackets and, working from the bottom of the brackets, screw the dampers tight.
à Working from above, place the cutter onto the vibration dampers and screw it tight to them (Fig.
11.4.3 -> 9). Pay attention to the length of the screws (= 20 mm).
à Assemble the cutter in the manner described in Section 11.6.3.2.
à Dismantle the cutter from the mounting plate.
à Mount the cutter in the machine, as described in Section 11.6.1.2.
à Install the empty-tape duct assembly and check the entire length of the gap between the lead-
ing edge of the tape deflector and the “empty-tape baffle, inside", as described in Section
11.6.8.
à Perform the appropriate “Final Steps” (see Section 11.6.11).

11.6.11 Final Steps
CAUTION
Tighten the screws to the correct torque -> see Table, Fig. 11.4.2. 11
à Make certain that each of the cables running out of the left and right of the control board box
is again fastened to the fixing pedestal with cable tie.
The strain on the cables / plug-and-socket connections must be relieved (Fig. 11.6.6 -> 8).
à Check the gap between the leading edge of the tape deflector and the "empty-tape baffle, in-
side", as described in Section 11.6.8.
à Where applicable, mount the tape chute into the machine.
à From below mount the stop buffer assembly on the machine frame (two M8 socket hex head
cap screws on left and right).
à If the nozzle changer is removed, stop the nozzle changer over the installation position and and
make the electrical and pneumatic connections.
à Mount the nozzle changer.
à Turn the compressed air back on at the main switch on the compressed air unit.
à Move the changeover table back into the machine and connect it.

DANGER
It is a basic rule that the SITEST program is only to be started by personnel who have been trained
in its use at Siemens AG and are therefore authorized to start it.
When the SITEST program is used, additional, higher risk of an accident exists aside from the
generally higher danger posed by the blades of the cutter.
The cutter and the empty-tape duct have to be completely assembled at all times.
The component changeover table must be moved into the machine and connected correctly.
Never move your hand near the cutter, neither from below nor from above (via the empty-tape
duct), not even to resolve a problem.
When the SITEST program is running, you must always make certain that there is no 2nd person
at the machine, i.e., that no 2nd person can trigger the cutting process or is within the operating
area of the cutter.
Secure the area of the cutters appropriately to keep away other personnel.
The key switch remains locked (= normal mode = position "0").
One-way restrictors are not to be set on the machine. This is only permitted at the factory. 11
à Load the SITEST program and actuate the cutting strokes (see Operating Manual "SITEST
Program").
à If the nozzle changer was removed:
Use SITEST program to calculate the position of the nozzle changer.
à Exit the SITEST program.
à Perform a visual check to make certain that all empty-tape ends are correctly guided downward
in the empty-tape duct.
à Start the placement sequence.
