JEDEC tray feeder Settings - Functions

The Settings menu provides a rough distinction of the
functions.
1. Operating functions of the trays (see below)
2. Carrier window
3. Filling level functions for the selected tray (see below)
4. Change button to switch to the level view of the JE-
DEC tray feeder
5. Tray position correction
Button
Move to Refill posi-
tion
▪ The tray is moved from the transfer position back into the tray carrier.
▪ If necessary, the "Stop production" function must be performed.
▪ The tray is moved to the refill position and the carrier can be removed from
the JEDEC tray feeder.
Provide Level ▪ Selection of the level / tray in the carrier window (directly by using the cursor
or the arrow keys).
▪ The tray is then displayed in a frame.
▪ The tray is moved into the pickup / transfer position (tray at position 1).
▪ If you select a different tray in the carrier window, this tray is automatically
moved into the pickup / transfer position (tray at position 1).
Confirm Exchange

▪ All trays in the carrier are set to full and the exchange is confirmed.
Exchange of Tray

▪ Only the selected tray in the carrier window is set to full and the exchange is
confirmed.
Button
Activate ▪ Currently without information or function.
Set Full ▪ Sets the selected tray to full (every component in the tray is displayed in gray
color).
Set Empty ▪ Sets the selected tray to empty (every component in the tray is displayed in
white color)
Change Filling Level ▪ Opens a virtual tray. You can directly select the last occupied pocket of the
tray that contains a component.
▪ An arrow represents the numbering direction that also corresponds to the
pickup direction.
▪ The transfer position is always at the top.
▪ In the following example, pocket 134 is selected as the pocket that contains
the last component. Pockets 135 to 160 shall be empty.
▪ Please note that the selected pocket is difficult to recognize.

ty.

the JEDEC tray feeder.
1. Position of the tray (14 or 18 levels)
2. State indicates that a tray is present on this level
which is not used for this setup. The filling level is not
queried.

Single Tray Selection
Single selected tray

The line for a single selected tray is highlighted in blue
color.
Use the cursor to select a single tray.
You can now make settings for the tray and assign differ-
ent states.
Please note that the trays have been selected in advance
in the example in the screenshot.
1. Set empty: Sets the tray to "Out of components". Use
the Set full button to set it back to full.
2. Deactivate: Deactivates the complete tray which is
then marked as "Deactivated by operator". Use the
Activatebutton to set it back to active.
Functions and actions

You can select the following functions and actions for the
single selected tray:
1. Selected tray: highlighted in blue color
2. Provide level: Moves this level to the transfer posi-
tion.
3. Correct position: Correction of the pickup position
4. Move to refill position: Moves the tray back into the
tray carrier in order to remove it. In this state, no com-
ponents can be picked up from any tray.
5. FIFO strategy: This button is active when you are
logged in with the necessary access privileges. As
soon as pickup has been performed once from a JE-
DEC tray on a replacement track, this will be emptied
completely before the actual track is used again.
