Requirements for Installation
Be sure to fulll the following requirements for safety purposes.
•
Overvoltage Category : Category
III
•
Pollution Degree : 2
•
Altitude : 1,000 m or less above the sea level
Overvoltage Categories refer to the level of Impulse Withstand Voltage protection
Category III : Primary circuits of a device to which power is directly supplied from the
power distribution panel, and circuits from the distribution panel to outlets.
Note
The term was changed from "Installation Category" to "Overvoltage Category".
"Pollution Degree" is a degree of pollution severity.
Pollution Degree 2 : This equipment is used under the environment where nonconductive pollu-
tion occurs, which may become conductive temporarily due to occasional
condensation.
Altitude means the height above sea level of the place where the machine is to be used.
Note
When the machine is used in a place that has an altitude of 1,000 meters or more,
consult with the Marketing Dept of Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. or a sales agent.

Precautionary Measures before Installation
If the machine is installed in unsatisfactory environmental conditions, it may malfunction
due to damage or breakdown.
To avoid this, make preparations to install the machine as follows.
When the machine is scheduled to be transferred to another place, please contact the
marketing department or sales agency of Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. beforehand.
Select a place solid enough to support the mass of the machine.
Note
the marketing department or sales agency of Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. for details.
Avoid any place that vibrates severely.
The ambient temperatures must be 20 ± 10°C and humidity 30 to 80%. Any dew
condensation must be avoided.
When the machine is transferred to another place and the ambient temperature rises more
than the surface of the machine, dew may condense under the condition described below.
Note that dew condensation may cause the machine to break down.
Condition of Dew Condensation
temperature of the destination (the place where the machine was transferred) and the surface
temperature of the machine reaches the values or more in the table below.
Humidity (%) of Destination
Dierences between Ambient Temperature of
Destination and Surface Temperature of
Machine
80 3 °C or more
70 6 °C or more
60 8 °C or more
50 10 °C or more
40 14 °C or more
30 18 °C or more
Ensure that the selected place is free of electric noise, etc.
Precautionary measures (prevention of noise generation, etc.,) must be taken for other
equipment to prevent the machine from malfunctioning.
Do not expose the machine to combustible or corrosive gas.

6. Precautionary Items for Correct Operations
Select a place free of lamp soot and dust.
Level the machine at the correct height, using a level vial.
The machine should be free of obstacles around it for easy maintenance.
When the openings of the conveyors in the PCB input or output section are too big,
some measures must be taken on the customer side to avoid any clearance according
to the condition of the conveyors in the input and output machines and the condition of
both machines.

machine but also trigger a malfunction of the machine, causing an accident.
Take necessary measures to prevent the other equipment from generating noises.
The primary power supply must be prepared on the local site.

primary power supply.
•
The 0.1

or less grounding must be provided, using a metal wire (Tensile Strength: 0.3
kN or more) or an annealed copper wire (AWG8 or more).
•
When the ground line is connected, it must be longer than the other cables (L1, L2,
and L3), giving some leeway.
that it is a type of breaker that cancels the high-frequency element immediately after
the rated sensitivity current reaches 60 mA or higher.
•
Leakage Current : less than 30 mA
Generally, an earth leakage breaker is not tripped when leakage current is less than 50%
of the rated sensitivity current. On the other hand, it may be tripped when leakage current
reaches 50% or more.
When the power source contains some high-frequency elements, leakage current
increases, causing an earth leakage breaker to malfunction even though the machine is in
the normal condition if the breaker is a type that cannot cancel high-frequency elements.
