This machine is electrically powered. When electrical equipment is being used, certain parts must of
necessity be live with dangerous voltages!

1.1.1 Definitions
Qualified or adequately trained personnel means that these people are familiar with the setting up, operation
and maintenance of automatic placement systems and the add-on devices, and have the appropriate qualifi-
cation such as:
Qualified or adequately trained personnel:
Persons who know how to set up, operate, and maintain the placement machine and add-on units and who
possess a corresponding qualification, such as for example:

Training or instruction or authorization to switch on or off, isolate, ground or label circuits and parts of
the installation in accordance with safety standards.
●
Training or instruction in accordance with safety standards in the care and use of appropriate safety
equipment.
●
Training in first aid.

1.2.1.1 General Information
The traveling range of the gantries is covered by two protective covers. If you wish to open the protective cov-
ers, you must either turn the key switch or press the HOLD button. The gantries will stop immediately if the
protective covers or the cover over the input / output belt are opened while the key switch is activated. The
power to the gantry axes will be switched off. Placement stops when the emergency stop button is pressed.
You can then either stop or continue placement of the PCBs.
The safety screens at the sides can be opened when the machine is stopped in order to top up with compo-
nents.

Only appropriately qualified and trained personnel may open the protective covers when the key-operated
switch is deactivated!
