2.1.1.4 Performance Analyzer
The Performance Analyzer tool can be used to evaluate the communication between the produc-
tion line and SIPLACE Explorer. For example, users can view the number of events per minute or
the waiting time in ms. The tool always shows the most recent value and displays the highest
value as a "peak". 2
An overview of events can be presented for each piece of equipment in the production line. 2
Please also read “Performance Analyzer” on page 65. 2
2.1.1.5 SE Manager
The SE Manager is used to select the production lines to be monitored. Line monitoring can be
started and stopped for the selected production line and SIPLACE Explorer applications initialized
in the SE Manager. 2
The SE Manager can also be used to manually check if there are line configuration deviations in
OIS/SIS and SIPLACE Explorer. 2
Please also read “SE Manager” on page 20. 2
2.1.1.6 SE Security Manager
The SE Security Manager can be used to manage access to the SIPLACE Explorer Runtime En-
vironment tools. 2
Please also read “SE Security Manager” on page 18. 2
2.1.2 Standard Monitoring Application (SMA)
The Standard Monitoring Application (SMA) records utilization and state data, cycle times, com-
pleted pieces and consumed / rejected components. Several process-specific pages are also in-
cluded. 2
You can use SMA with the default settings or adapt it to your individual requirements. SMA can
display basic data from your production line or be used to adjust data to the requirements of any
particular line. 2
For a detailed information, please refer to SIPLACE Explorer SMA User Guide. 2

2.1.3 Factory Configuration Utility
If you want to work with Factory Configuration Utility, you will also need to install the option
"Factory Configuration Utility". The following features will then be available: 2
– Overview of all SIPLACE production lines during production
– The factory website is the so-called "single entry point" for all production line websites i.e.
you can navigate directly from the factory website to all other production line websites.
– Factory Reporting
– Central organization of users with User Management
Please also read “SIPLACE Explorer Factory Configuration Utility” on page 77. 2
2.1.4 Development Environment
Development Environment is an independent application which supports all tools and utilities
from SIPLACE Explorer. 2
This application can be used as follows: 2
– Development of SIPLACE Explorer applications
– Configuration of line monitoring applications from the installed SIPLACE Explorer applica-
tions
– Creation of templates for SIPLACE Explorer applications
– Execution of the created line monitoring applications
Please note that the online monitoring of board production should be performed with Runtime En-
vironment. 2
Basic developer skills are required for Development Environment. 2
