8.6 Sealing elements on pin wheel

8.6.2 Fitting the sealing elements onto the pin wheel
► Fit the left middle sealing element(3) onto the
two marked pins belonging to the middle sealing
element(2)
.
► Fit the top pin for the left sealing element(4) into
the hole marked for the middle sealing ele-
ment(2)
.
► Fit the bottom pin for the left sealing element(4)
into the hole marked for the left middle sealing
element(3)
.
► The right sealing element(1) is connected later to
the middle sealing element(2)
.
► Insert the preassembled sealing elements(2), (3)
and (4) into the tape drive from above.
► Fit the two pins for the right sealing element(1)
onto the holes in the middle sealing element.
► Press the two pins into the middle sealing ele-
ment, as far as the stopper.

► Refit the outer panel on the right foil container.
► Fit the right side cover (see section 8.3.4 "Fitting
the Right Side Cover" [}176]).
► Carefully place the feeder module with the right
side down on a stable, level and clean surface.
► Fit the pin wheel base onto the threaded axis.
Make sure that the teeth of the pin wheel base
engage securely in the teeth of the shifted gear.
► Use an Allen screwdriver, size 4, to fasten the pin
wheel base bearing.
NOTICE!
Make a note of the marked hole on the pin
wheel base, into which the pin must be inser-
ted during assembly.

► Guide the pin crown between the left and middle
sealing elements.

► Fit the pin crown onto the pin wheel base, so that
the pin on the pin wheel base inserts into the
marked hole.
► Fasten the pin crown into place with the 4
marked screws. Use a TORX screwdriver, size
T8, with a torque of 0.6 Nm for this.
► Refit the outer panel on the left foil container.
► Fit the left side cover into place (see section 8.3.2
"Fitting the Left Side Cover" [}175]).
► Insert the pickup window with pressure fork (5)
and tape duct (6), as shown.
