Periodic maintenance items
1. Weekly maintenance
This section mainly describes weekly inspection and cleaning.
1.1 For all heads
1.1.1 Checking the nozzle spring action
Poor spring action of nozzles may cause pickup errors. Check the spring action of each nozzle at regular
intervals to prevent pickup errors.
To check the spring action, press on the tip of each nozzle. If it returns normally there is no problem. However,
if the return action is poor or sluggish, then pickup errors and recognition errors are likely to occur.
c
CAUTION
When checking by pressing the nozzle tip, use care to avoid applying excessive force. The condition is normal if the
tip returns to its original position after being pressed in approximately 1 mm.

Periodic maintenance items
1.1.2 Checking the leaf spring/roller lock
Inspect the nozzle holding status of the MU/FL head periodically.
• An unstable holding force at the nozzle leaf spring (hereafter "leaf spring") can adversely affect pickup, recognition,
and mounting operations.
• If the roller lock is loose, this may adversely affect the nozzle holding force.
• If the roller is scratched, this may cause recognition errors.
n
Leaf spring inspection points
Check the following points by detaching the nozzle and attaching it to the nozzle holder.
• The leaf spring has enough gripping force.
• There is no gap between the leaf springs and the nozzle (FL head : nozzle arm assembly).
• The leaf spring is not warped or deformed.
• The gripping part of the leaf spring is not frayed.
• Mounting bolt and screw are tightened.
• Rollers are not scratched/unstable.

NOTE
If any problem is found during the check work shown above, replace the leaf springs or roller lock referring to "1.
Replacing the leaf spring and roller lock" in Chapter 6.
As a rule, be sure to replace a pair of components even when only the leaf spring or roller on one side deteriorates
.
n
NOTE
Make sure to return detached nozzles to the original positions of head.
If detached nozzles from the nozzle station (option), return them to the original storage positions.
