1.3 Typical errors and troubleshooting
Typical errors that might be displayed during operation are shown below along with possible causes and
corrective action.

NOZZLE RECOGNITION ERROR
State
Intensity of Component pole is not enough at threshold level. Nozzle is recognized as a component. Please
check nozzle and clean it.
Cause
Component electrode brightness did not reach the brightness ("Comp. Intensity" parameter setting) that can
be identified as a component. A nozzle might have been misrecognized as a component.
Action Check the nozzle that caused the error and clean it. Adjust the "Comp. Intensity" parameter in parts data.

NOZZLE CHANGE ERROR
State
Failed to pick up a nozzle. Please check the sensor on the nozzle station and adjust height, angle and
position data of the nozzle station.
Cause
Nozzle station sensor is defective, or the height, angle or XY coordinate setting in nozzle station information
is not properly adjusted.
Action Adjust the sensor. Readjust the nozzle position/angle/height settings in nozzle station information.

NOZZLE CHANGE ERROR
State
Failed to store a nozzle. Please check the sensor on nozzle station and adjust height, angle and position data
of the nozzle station.
Cause
Nozzle station sensor is defective, or the height, angle or XY coordinate setting in nozzle station information
is not properly adjusted, so that the nozzle cannot be stored.
Action
Check nozzle sensor operation, and/or readjust the height, angle or XY coordinate setting in nozzle station
information.

NOZZLE STATION ERROR
State
One or more nozzle(s) are not present on the nozzle station. Please check the sensors on the nozzle station
and insert the appropriate nozzle(s).
Cause Nozzle station sensor is defective, or one or more nozzles were removed from the nozzle station.
Action Store the correct nozzles in the nozzle station, or check the nozzle station sensor operation.

State There is no nozzle present for the next sequence. Please check nozzle station data.
Cause Nozzles to be used are not specified in nozzle station information.
Action Check the settings in nozzle station information.

State Head down sensor is OFF. Remove the cause of this sensor being OFF.
Cause Head does not move up due to malfunction, or sensor error occurred.
Action Check the head for up/down movement.

State
You can't move X ,Y ,R or W axis, because Z axis is moving or Z axis position safety sensor is OFF. Please
check Z axis position.
Cause Head is lowered or sensor is defective.
Action Raise the head (Z-axis) by hand.

INTERLOCK ERROR
State You can't move X or Y axis, because there isn't a nozzle station at the bottom.
Cause Nozzle station is raised, or the lower end sensor in the nozzle station does not work.
Action
Lower the nozzle station in manual mode. With the nozzle station lowered, check I/O monitor to see if the
sensor is working. If not, replace the sensor.

<<<WARNING SENSOR ERROR>>>
Head up-down action is abnormal. Following reasons are possible.
State
- Board fixation is not correct.
- PickHeight or MntHeight is not correct.
- The head lower-end sensor does not function.
- The head lowering valve does not function.
- The nozzle shaft is bent.
- The head did not reach the bottom within 1 sec.
Cause
1. Board surface is too high, so the cylinder does not lower to a position where the sensor responds.
2. Pickup height or mount height setting is too large, so the cylinder does not lower to a position where the
sensor responds.
3. Lower end sensor position is inappropriate, so the sensor does not respond correctly.
4. Piston movement in the head descent valve is not smooth.
5. Nozzle shaft is deformed or bent, so the head does not move up or down.
Action Eliminate the cause of the error by referring to the above description.

MOUNT IO SEQUENCE VACUUM LEVEL ERROR
State
Vacuum level has not reached the specified level. Please check the nozzle and valve condition. This may
cause bring-back cmp. or double mount problem.
Cause
Negative pressure was insufficient during component placement. A nozzle might have brought a component
back without placing it on the board.
Action Open the [Unit] [Head] tab and immediately check the nozzles and valves.

INTERLOCK ERROR
State You can't move X ,Y ,R or W axis, because Z axis is not in safe position. Please check Z axis position.
Cause The head position is at a dangerous height, so the X, Y, R and W axes cannot move.
Action Raise the head to a safe height. If the machine's head has a lower end sensor, then check the sensor status.

INTERLOCK ERROR
State Z axis is not in a safe position. Please check Z axis position.
Cause The head position is at a dangerous height right after return-to-origin is performed.
Action Check that the current head position (Z-axis) is lowered to a dangerous height.

State
The specified nozzle on this head is impossible. Please make sure the following item:
- Status of Nozzle Station.
Cause Cannot identify the currently attached ANC nozzle.
Action Check the nozzle station sensor status.

BOARD TRANSFER ERROR
State Unexpected board is on the conveyor.
Cause
Board was carried in from upstream side even though no board request signal was output, or an abnormal
board was detected.
Action
Readjust the position of conveyor exit sensor on upstream side, or the position of conveyor carry-in sensor or
board detection sensor at the entrance stopper of this machine.

BOARD FIXING ERROR
State Board trans-unit, locate pin or push-up unit does not respond to command.
Cause Senor position adjustment is inappropriate, or speed control is set too low to maintain stable movement.
Action Check the sensors for conveyor unit height to see if they are operating properly.

MAIN STOPPER INTERLOCK
State
Operation of the main stopper in this table height cannot be performed.
-Please lower the Board table.
Or You can't move table on dangerous position, because the main stopper is upper.
-Please move main stopper down.
Cause Main stopper is raised, creating a dangerous situation.
Action Lower the main stopper.

INTERLOCK ERROR
State Transfer axis up/down sensor is OFF. Remove the cause of this sensor being OFF.
Cause Board conveyor unit is left lowered, or sensor error occurred.
Action Check the conveyor unit for up/down movement.

INTERLOCK ERROR
State The sensor for main stopper, push-up or entrance stopper is ON. Remove the cause of this sensor being ON.
Cause Sensor is defective or actuator operation is poor.
Action Check the conveyor unit for up/down movement.

State
Failed to execute this command, because the push-up unit's position is not enough low. Please execute this
command after moving it down again,
Cause Unable to run this command since servo push-up is not sufficiently lowered.
Action Lower the servo push-up by conveyor unit operation or reset, then re-run this command.
