6.2.5 PCI Express Cards
6.2.5.1 NuMotion Card
The machine uses a NuMotion control system to perform all the machine functions such as driving
motors and monitoring feedback from sensors and readers. The NuMotion card interfaces between
the software and the NuMotion system.

6.3 CONTROLLER POWER MODULE (CPM)
The CPM connects to the NuMotion control card in the machine controller using 2 fibre optic links.
The information coming from the machine controller is translated and the control signal directed to
either; one of the EPM’s or one of the ESIO’s. Feedback from sensors and positional readers are
fed back to the NuMotion control card via the fibre optic link.
