Figure 6‑16 CAN bus topology
The transmission distance of the CAN bus is directly related to the baud rate and the
communication cable. The following table describes the relationship between the
maximum bus length and the baud rate.

6.5 Grounding requirements
To properly ground the servo drive, observe the following requirements:
Note
● To prevent electric shock, ground the grounding terminal properly. Observe
related national or regional regulations during grounding.
● To prevent electric shocks, ensure that the protective grounding conductor
meets the technical specifications and local safety standards, and shorten the
grounding cable length as much as possible.
● The leakage current of a single drive does not exceed 3.5 mA AC or 10 mA DC.
You only need to configure one protective grounding conductor with the same
specifications as the phase cable.
● When using multiple devices, follow the instructions for grounding all devices.
Incorrect grounding can result in misoperation of devices.

6.6 Post-wiring Inspection
After wiring is done, check the following items and tick compliant items.
Table 6–7 Post-wiring inspection checklist
No. Item
Tick
1
The power supply input cables are connected to the R, S, and T
terminals (three-phase 380 V) or L1 and L2 terminals (single-phase
220 V).
□
2
Motor input cables are connected to the U, V, and W terminals.
□
3
The cross-sectional area of the main circuit cables meet the
requirements.
□
4
The heat-shrink tubing has been applied to the copper barrel of the
main circuit lug and cable conductors, with the tubing fully covering
all exposed conductors.
□
5
The motor output cable does not exceed 50 m. Otherwise, the
carrier frequency needs to be reduced through A5-01.
□
6
The grounding cable is connected properly.
□
7
The output terminals and control cable terminals are connected
properly.
□
8
The braking resistor and braking unit with proper resistance are
wired properly.
□
9
The control circuit signal cables are shielded twisted pair cables.
□
10
Control circuit cables and main circuit cables are routed through
different routes.
□
11
There are no screws, gaskets, or exposed cables left inside the
product.
□
12
When wiring multiple motors, ensure the connections are correct
and avoid cross-wiring between the motors and the drive. Cross-
wring may cause abnormal motor operation.

7 Shipment Check
Procedure
1. Open the package and check whether the drive is intact.
If the AC drive or other accessories are damaged, do not operate or install the damaged
device.
2. Check whether the drive model is consistent with that on the delivery order.
3. Record the model and serial No.
