The main troubleshooting during the tape feeder operation is described here.
In the event of trouble, con rm in which section the trouble is caused and set it
right.
11.1 Component Pick-up Error
Remedy
: Align the chip component center with the marks on the suppressor according to "5.
Component Pick-up Position Alignment".
Marks on the Suppressor
If the component center is not aligned with the pick-up position, then the pick-up cannot
proceed correctly.
Cause : Inappropriate pick-up positioning

: Adjust the pick-up position by using the feeder adjusting jig JG-0209
(Purchase separately).

Remedy
: Remove any chip component or foreign substance such as debris attached on the
suppressor and completely clean the suppressor.
If the taping component is mounted with any foreign substance attached, the suppresser
might be deformed or a pick-up error occur.
Therefore, clean it.
Cause : Chip component has become attached inside the suppressor and
moves wild.

Remedy
: Clean the vacuum nozzle on the main machine of SIGMA-F8 according to "Volume
4: Maintenance and Troubleshooting" in the Instruction Manual for SIGMA-F8 main
machine.
If the factory is dusty or if paper taping component is often used, then the vacuum nozzle and vacuum
nozzle lter can easily become dirty.
Keep them clean.
