"Safety Precautions" describes the precautionary items that should be kept to prevent
personal injury or property damage beforehand and use these tape feeders safely.
Before using these tape feeders, please understand the contents of the following
safety precautions.

The safety precautions are expressed, using the combinations of safety alert symbols

" and headwords such as "WARNING", or "CAUTION" according to the degree of
danger.
Please fully understand the meaning of each precautionary item for safety purposes.
The safety alert symbols "
" are used to indicate a potential personal injury
hazard.
Please pay attention to all safety messages that follow the safety alert symbols to avoid
any possibility of injury or death.
WARNING
This indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if
not avoided, could result in death or serious injury.
CAUTION
This indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if
not avoided, may result in minor or moderate injury.
A precautionary item identied as "
CAUTION" may also lead the operator
to reach a serious result. To avert a serious result, please respect the described
cautions.
NOTICE
This indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if
not avoided, may result in property damages.

Precautions before Use
Only trained persons should operate these tape feeders.
Do not allow any untrained person to operate the tape feeders, mishandling of the tape
feeders can cause injuries.
Before operating these tape feeders, please read the instruction manual carefully for
correct operations.
Be sure to follow the operational instructions described in the instruction manual.
Although the precautionary items have been reviewed repeatedly, an incident far beyond
our expectation may occur.
Not only follow the precautionary instructions described in the instruction manual but also
try to handle these tape feeders carefully at your discretion all the time.
The splicing operation is performed while the machine is running.
Keep yourself (including all parts of your body and clothing) and other objects
away from any moving mechanism within the area for the splicing operation.
Person with a pacemaker should not handle the tape feeder.
The pacemaker might be affected by the magnetism, resulting in a serious
accident.
The cutter blade in the tape cutting jig is very sharp, take the greatest care not
to get injured.
Also, take care not to catch your nger in the spring section.
When the tape is to be cut off by using the tape cutting jig, set the tape on the
pilot pins and hold it securely with your thumb and the forenger; then cut off
the tape slowly and carefully so as not to cut your nger.
