Nozzle ID Stickers
Labeling a Nozzle ID Sticker to a Nozzle
ACTION:
① Use industrial alcohol and completely remove grease, oil, and water content from the surface of
the nozzle flange where a nozzle ID sticker is to be labeled.
② Pull out the shaft of the nozzle sticker tool approx. 3mm from the ring.
③ Use tweezers and peel off the sticker from the paper.
④ Place the sticker with its adhesive side up, and then put it in the jig (make sure that the D-cut on
the sticker is aligned with that on the ring). (The sticker must be angled so that the nozzle ID
number is oriented as illustrated below.) Do not touch the adhesive surface of the sticker with
fingers.
⑤ Push the nozzle into the shaft of the nozzle ID sticker tool. Make sure that the nozzle’s notch is
aligned with the positioning slot on the ring.
⑥ While pressing the nozzle flange, push the shaft into the ring so that the sticker is affixed onto the
flange.
⑦ Check to make sure that the sticker touches the bottom of the ring.
NOTE: When the shaft is pulled out of the ring too much, it may come off. When it comes off, align the shaft’s slot
with the ring’s positioning pin and then insert the shaft into the ring slowly.

Cleaning Nozzle ID Stickers
Dirt on nozzle ID stickers may cause vision recognition failure. Regularly clean the nozzle ID stickers.
ACTION:
① Clean the sticker with cotton swab soaked with alcohol.
② Wipe off the remaining alcohol from the sticker surface with dry cotton swab.
NOTE: Particularly the nozzle ID stickers tend to easily get dirty. When a nozzle ID sticker becomes too dirty to be
cleaned, replace it with a new one.
For the part number of the nozzle ID sticker, refer to “5. Materials”.
NOTE: The nozzle ID stickers are easily peeled off when they become wet. Be sure to dry them with cotton swab
whenever they become wet.

Flange Seal
Underside of the nozzle flange is covered with non-reflecting black coating, which prevents misrecognition
at vision processing, and protective seal (flange seal) which protects the coating. Long-term use of a nozzle
accompanied by ANC operation may cause scratches on the flange seal. These scratches may bring about
unwanted reflection of lights, which interfere with the image, and causes vision process errors. Follow the
procedure below and replace the flange seal when necessary.
ACTION:
① Peel off the old Flange Seal thoroughly from the underside of the nozzle flange, and clean off dust,
dirt, oil, and moisture by using industrial alcohol. Do not use a sharp-edged tool and tweezers when
peeling off the seal. Using these tools damage the non-reflecting black coating
② Slide up the ring of the Flange Seal Set Tool (Optional) and turn it clockwise.
③ Use tweezers and remove the Flange Seal from the exfoliate paper.
④ Set the Flange Seal with its adhesive side up onto the Flange Seal Set Tool. Do not touch the adhesive
side of the seal with fingers.
⑤ Check to make sure that the seal is placed evenly flat onto the inside bottom of the ring.
⑥ Insert the nozzle with its nozzle tip down into the tool.
⑦ Turn the ring counterclockwise along with pressing the nozzle onto the tool, and slide it down to
attach the nozzle flange to the flange seal.
NOTE: The flange seal comes off easily when it becomes wet. When it becomes wet, use a dry cotton-swab and
wipe off grease, oil, and water content immediately.
NOTE: There are 3 types of Flange seal. Please refer to the list below.
