Connect Sources
Connect the input compressed air hose on the
right side and the output hose which is going to
the air dryer on the left side of the valve.
Connect the electrical cables to the lower two
terminals (polarity does not matter).
11.3 Membrane Air Dryer
11.3.1 Introduction
This modification instruction describes how to change the membrane air dryer of the Air Dryer
Option on SIPLACE Material Tower.
Spare part number: 03124533-01
Before starting the maintenance, read the Safety instructions carefully.
11.3.2 Tools, Material and Scheduling
For an effective and efficient maintenance, the following resources have to be provided:
Required Tools / Auxiliary Material / Spare parts
Tools: Allen key Nr. 2.5, 4
Wrench Nr. 17, 20, 26,
Auxiliary Material: Teflon tape

11.3.3 Prerequisites
For a safe and efficient maintenance, the following prerequisites have to be fulfilled:
Personnel:
• Any work with or at the equipment must be carried out by skilled
and trained personnel in accordance with the locally applicable
regulations.
• Inform all involved persons regarding the currently running
maintenance works.
Machine loading:
• NO item must be unloaded.
Machine operating
condition:
• Shut down
Main electrical power:
• The Main Switch must be switched off.
Compressed air /
Nitrogen (if used):
• Equipment disconnected from compressed air or nitrogen supply.
Access:
• Open the left side door of the machine, where the electrical unit and
the air dryer is located.

11.3.4 Exchange steps
Step 1
Unplug all three air connection hoses.
Step 2
The four screws holding the air dryer are located
at the back side of the panel. Unscrew them
while securely holding the membrane dryer.
Step 3
Lay the old an new membrane dryer down on a table. In this step remove two connections from
the old dryer and assemble them to the new dryer.
