Therefore, loosen the six screws on the belt
holding as far as the belt can be pulled out.
Now it is possible to remove the whole belt by
pulling.
Step 5
Using metal shears, cut the new belt to a length
of
1813 mm ± 2 mm.
Use Loctite on all screws.
Thread the belt behind motor and deflection
pulley then insert it into the belt holding that
both belt endings ar
e similarly as far as possible
inside the holding.
Softly fasten the screws on the belt holding as
far as the belt is secured but still has small
movement. The holdings won't be fastened
before the belt is in soft tension. This procedure
is important to a
ssure the belt endings lay
straight in the holdings and the force is spread
over the whole width and not only on one side.

By means of the
nut, tension the belt softly,
meaning that you can pull the long side of the
belt approximately to distance of around 50mm
away.

Step 6
Push the X axis to the a distance where you can
measure
600 mm between the beginning of the
belt holding and the middle of the pulley.
Required tension for the X belt is
36 Hz ± 1 Hz
Measure the belt tension approximately in the
middle of the measuring distance. Turn the belt
tension nut accordingly to achieve the correct
tension.
