Time needed
Schedule around 4 hours for this task.
12.1.3 Prerequisites
For a safe and efficient maintenance, the following prerequisites have to be fulfilled:
Personnel:
Any work with or at the equipment must be carried out by skilled and
trained personnel in accordance with the locally applicable regulations.
Inform all involved persons regarding the currently running
maintenance works.
Machine loading:
NO item must be unloaded, but the mounting work on a fully loaded
machine can be very cumbersome. Best working condition would be if
the top positions of stack 1 / 3 /5 are unloaded.
Machine operating
condition:
Shut down
Main electrical
power:
Equipment disconnected from power supply system. The Main Switch
(switched off) locked by means of a padlock to secure the main switch
against unintentional switching on.
Compressed air /
Nitrogen (if used):
Equipment disconnected from compressed air or nitrogen supply.
Material Tower
software version:
20.0 or higher.
Access:
Open both service doors.

12.1.4 Mounting steps
Mechanical preparation
Note:
During the drilling works, take care no
metal chips can get into the machine.
Possibly use the vacuum cleaner to suck
away the metal chips.
On top of each door, two holes have to be drilled
to fix the safety switches and magnets (a total of
8 holes). See
the pictures for the positions of the
holes and mark it using a pencil. Alternatively
cut out the printed drilling jig on the last page of
the door monitoring description, follow the
direction to fold it.
Take a center punch and punch each marked
hole po
sition or punch through the drilling jig.
By means of the power drill and a drill with a
diameter of 3 mm all holes can be drilled.
Countersink all holes from the outer surface so
that the screws are flush with the door surface.
Countersink also the hol
es from the inner
surface for burr removing.
