Step 6
Plug in the cable for the motor and encoder.
Fix a cable t
ie around the motor to hold the
connectors in position (see picture on right). Be
careful with the motors cable outlet.
Check that the cables are not pulled and well
laid.
Step 7
Required tension for the Y belt is
115 Hz ± 2 Hz
Tighten the Y belt by tighten the screw of the
pulley.
Meas
ure the belt tension with the gripper being
on the far left side. Measure in the middle of the
rear belt.

Step 8
Use Loctite on all screws.
Once the tension of the belt is correct, fix the
pulley by means of tighten the screws from
below.
Check if the tension of the Y belt is still
115 Hz ±
2 Hz
Step 9
Manually pull and push the gripper from left to right to check if the gripper can freely move.
Step 10
Remove all tools and close the doors of the machine.
Plug in the power connector and switch on the machine.
Initialize the machine by means of the software.
Step 11
In the software, in
System - Storage
Devices/Units
select the appropriate machine in
the table and press
Load.
In tab
Calibration calibrate the Y axis and follow
the instructions given by the software.
5.2 Y Belt
5.2.1 Introduction
This modification instruction describes how to change the Y belt on SIPLACE Material Tower.

Before starting the maintenance, read the Safety instructions carefully.
After this modification all stacks must be recalibrated. Therefore
, SIPLACE Material Tower
must be emptied in advance by means of the software.
5.2.2 Tools, Material and Scheduling
For an effective and efficient maintenance, the following resources have to be provided:

5.2.3 Prerequisites
For a safe and efficient maintenance, the following prerequisites have to be fulfilled:
Personnel:
• Any work with or at the equipment must be carried out by skilled and
trained personnel in accordance with the locally applicable
regulations.
• Inform all involved persons regarding the currently running
maintenance works.
