If a Multiple JEDEC tray feeder 18 (SIPLACE JTF-M for thin trays) was selected, "Carrier" lists the num-

ber of trays (18) as well as their settings and their component occupancy (per tray).

Only 14 trays are displayed for a Multiple JEDEC tray feeder 14 (SIPLACE JTF-M for thick trays).

For a JEDEC tray stack feeder (SIPLACE JTF-S), Carrier shows only one tray, as all trays that are set

up in the JEDEC tray stack feeder must have the same components.

Maintenance

All the ball bearings used in the feeders are sealed and they do not require any separate lubrication. The

magazine is operated via dry-running chains, which may not be greased.

For more details about spare parts and any additional tools required for service work, please refer to the

service manual [00197543-xx].

Intervals

Weekly ► Check whether the parts on the feeder are damaged.

► Check whether the belt drives are clean and whether they have any damage.

Replace any damaged parts.

Monthly ► Clean the feeder.

► Clean the belt drives with grease-free alcohol.

► Check whether the rubber on the tray clamps is damaged. Clean the rubber

with alcohol. Replace it if it is damaged.
