Grease specifications

Type : Lithium soap, high load (industrial purpose), lithium complex, and non leaded

Application method

In principle, apply or inject once every 100km of operation.

 Inject or apply once every 1~2 weeks (If the machine is operated 24 hours a day)

 Inject or apply once a month (If the machine is operated 10 hours a day)

Injection method

 Check the grease gun. Do not mix it with other grease.

 Inject through the grease nipple by using the Grease Gun. (Recommended injection

amount: 5g / per injection for one block)

 Inject grease while moving the gantry slowly as it might not reach the rolling bearing

if it is injected while the LM Block is stationary. (Y axis)

 Check the grease injection status while operating the machine slowly by using the

Teaching Box.

 For even application of grease, warm up the machine for 1 minute before application

How to apply grease

First, remove any dust or contaminant with antidust cloth, and apply the grease thinly on

the surface of the rail and screw groove with a brush. Then slowly move the axis twice or

three times to remove any excessive grease on the rail and both ends of the screw.

If there is a lot of dust in the environment, it is best to remove chips or dust on the rail

thoroughly and apply grease often even before the regular grease lubrication period.

 Recommended brush Type : The brush for paint coating (hog or horse hair brush)

 Recommended grease application amount: 1cc/application for one block

 Recommended grease lubrication amount: 2cc/lubrication

Grease storage method

 A grease container must be opened in a clean environment devoid of dust.

 Wipe the utensil to take out the grease thoroughly and use. Do not use a wooden

spatula. If chips of wood get mixed up in the grease, severe problems could occur.

 The oil separation phenomenon could occur in the grease left unused for a long time.

If this happens, mix it well before using it.

 If grease is taken out from the center of the container and the scooped up spot is left

untouched, the oil separation phenomenon gets aggravated as the gravity is

concentrated in the scooped up area. Raise the center area slightly and store.

 If the lid of the grease container gets damaged, moisture could penetrate or grease

could be oxidized due to contact with air. Take precautions.

How to use a grease gun

Join the grease nipple and the body. Separate the cylinder and the handle.

Pull the cylinder back and fill with grease. Put the handle back.

Push the cylinder slightly while pressing the button with a thumb to remove the air in it.
