Place the external synchronizing disk, the annular spring and the plain washer onto the end of
the hexagonal drive shaft and bolt the drive shaft to the motor mount (one M3 hexagonal socket
head cap screw).
Check: The toothed belt must be engaged in the top and bottom synchronizing disk over its
entire width (see ).
Carry out the remaining assembly procedures in the order reverse to that described for the dis-
assembly in section 14.3.2.1, above.
Restore the correct polarity of the motor terminals (+/-) -> direction of rotation!direction of ro-
tation
Fasten the motor cable to the circumference of the motor with the heat-shrinkable sleeve.
If applicable, mount the sonar proximity switch mount incl. the sensing head.
The connecting cables of the sonar proximity switch are not to be damaged or kinked.
Fasten the EHOWJXLGHV(see ) in the FRUUHFWSRVLWLRQin the slots (two MS hexagonal socket
head cap screws) and note:
The toothed belt is not to be under tension.
Carry out the pertinent "final steps incl. function check" (see section 14.4). During the process,
make certain that the geared motor will turn in the correct direction.

CAUTION O
The toothed belt is not to be stretched or kinked. 14
NOTE:
If the ball bearing in teh motor mount is faulty, exchange the motor mount assembly for PCB con-
veyor". If the geared motor ist faulty as well, exchange the "PCB conveyor drive" (= entire unit in-
cluding geard motor). 14

Carry out DOOsteps as described in section 14.3.2.1 for the removal of the "toothed belt for PCB
conveyor drive. The toothed belt in the motor mount is removed, however, because the above-
mentioned assemblies LQFOXGHLW(see NOTE).
Pull the motor mount with geared motor off the drive shaft.
If you wish to exchange the "motor mount assembly", remove the geared motor for re-use with
the motor mount (four M3 hexagonal socket head cap screws: see ).

Install the new "motor mount assembly for PCB conveyor" or the new unit "PCB conveyor
drive" in the reverse order (see VHFWLRQ and ).
Check: The toothed belt for the conveyor must be engagedLQDOOsynchronizing disks over

If guide rails have been loosened or removed, install the guide rails on the conveyor assembly.
Do not tighten them completely yet because they will have to be adjusted.
Re-fasten the EHOWJXLGHin the correct position (see section 14.3.2.2).
If necessary, adjust the DOLJQPHQWRIWKHJXLGHUDLOV (see section 14.3.7).
Carry out the )LQDOVWHSVLQFOXGLQJIXQFWLRQFKHFN (see section 14.4).
Keep the following NOTE in mind.
NOTE:
After the new unit "PCB conveyor drive" is installed, you have to make certain that the direction of
rotation and the conveyor speed are correct (motor voltage).
After the geared motor has been re-connected, you only have to check the direction of rotation.14

NOTE
The relevant components of the fixed conveyor side are arranged in a like manner to those of
the movable side (see ).
All conveyor toothed belts other than those for the intermediate conveyors, have the same Item
No. 14
The following instructions apply to all 5 PCB conveyor areas of conveyors 1 and 2. 14

Carry out DOOthe steps described for toothed belt of the PCB conveyor drive in section 14.3.2.1.
The short toothed belt in the motor mount is not removed however.
Push the drive unit toward the PRYDEOHside of the conveyor until the synchronizing disk of the
drive no longer engages in the toothed belt for the conveyor.
Support the drive unit in such that the hexagonal drive shaft is not bent.
Remove the guide rails on the fixed side of the conveyor (M3 hexagonal socket head cap
screws: see ).
Remove the faulty toothed belt for the conveyor from the guide channel of the fixed side of the
conveyor.

The new toothed belt must not be stretched or kinked. 14
Place the new toothed belt of the conveyor in the guide channel of the fixed side of the con-

Make certain that the polarity of the motor terminals (+/-) is correct (= correct direction of rota-
tion).
Fasten the motor cable to the circumference of the geared motor with the heat-shrinkable
sleeve.
CAUTION O
The connecting cables for the sonar proximity switch must not be damaged or kinked. 14
Where applicable, install the sonar proximity switch mount incl. sensing head.
Fasten the EHOWJXLGHV(see -> 2) in the slots in the correct position (two M3 hex socket head
cap screws):
The toothed belt must be in contact with the upper edge of the conveyor assembly
along its entire length and must not be under tension in the remaining area.
Install the guide rails on the fixed side of the conveyor assembly.
Adjust the DOLJQPHQWRIWKHJXLGHUDLOV(see section 14.3.7).
Carry out the pertinent "Final steps including function check" (see section 14.4).
In the process, make certain the geared motor rotates in the correct direction.
