9.3.3 Determining the Slot to be Verified
• If the stage to be verified was determined by removing a feeder, this step can be
skipped because the slot to be verified will also have been determined at that time.
• The slot to be verified can be determined in following three ways.
I. If a feeder is set in a slot where an LED is on at the verify subject stage, that
slot will become a verify subject if that feeder is removed.
II. By using the Handy Terminal to read the slot number barcodes affixed to
each slot.
III. By keying in the slot number from the PDT-3100’s numeric key pad.

9.3.4 LED ON at Slot to be Verified
• Only the LED at the slot to be verified is on.
• When subsequently setting feeders, the LEDs indicate which positions those
feeders should be set in.

9.3.5 Device Comment Reading
• Device comments can be read in the following two ways.
I. The device comment barcode affixed to the reel can be read to the Handy
Terminal.
II. The device comment can be entered using the PDT-3100’s alphabetic and
numeric keys.

9.3.6 Device Comment Comparison
• The machine searches the recipe to determine what the device comment should be
for the reel in the slot being verified.
• The machine compares this search result with the delimiter which has been read by
the Handy Terminal.
• If the compared device comments do not match, the machine prompts the operator
to read the device comment again.
• When using PDT-3100, if the compared device comments match, the system
proceeds to the verify check results screen.
• If the [ ] key is pressed at the PDT-3100 "Results" screen, or if several seconds are
allowed to elapse, the verification check for the current slot is ended, and a
"Waiting for next verification subject slot selection" status is established.
• If the scanner is being used, the system proceeds to the "waiting for feeder loading"
status if the comparison results are a match.
