1.1 Conveyors
NPM, regardless of stand-alone or connected to the line, needs to be installed with another NPM
or an extension conveyor on its both sides, which is used to install a unit as a line server and
ensures the safety around the transport apertures.
The types of extension conveyors are as follows.

NPM LNB
conveyor
NL-CON1 NM-EJK4A This has a function to ensure the
safety around the transport aperture
as an extension conveyor, and the
HUB (LAN interface). If you
incorporate an FA PC, it will have an
LNB function as a line server. Install
it on the extreme left of an NPM line.
NPM HUB
conveyor
NH-CON1 NM-EJK5A This has a function to ensure the
safety around the transport aperture
as an extension conveyor, and the
HUB (LAN interface). When more
than 16 NPM are coupled, install it
on the extreme right.
NPM
conveyor L
N-CONL1 NM-EJK6A This has a function to ensure the
safety around the transport aperture
as an extension conveyor. This is
required when a machine other than
NPM is coupled on the left of NPM.
NPM
conveyor R
N-CONR1 NM-EJK7A This has a function to ensure the
safety around the transport aperture
as an extension conveyor. This is
required when 15 machines or less
are coupled in an NPM line and
when a machine other than NPM is
coupled on the right of NPM.
See the introduction manual for the installation.

1.2 Line Configuration
NPM and conveyors are located in the NPM line configuration as follows.
Case 1
Only NPM is included in the line configuration (when 15 machines or less are coupled).
Case 2
Only NPM is included in the line configuration (when 16 to 30 machines are coupled).
The NPM LNB conveyor is required on the left of the line.
Case 3
Any machine other than NPM is included in the line configuration (when 15 machines or less are
coupled).
Case 4
Any machine other than NPM is included in the line configuration (when 16 to 30 machines are
coupled).
When any machine other than NPM is included in the line configuration, an NPM conveyor is
required between NPM and the machine other than NPM. (Cases 3 and 4)

1.3 System Configuration

1.3 System Configuration
NL-CON1 (NM-EJK4A) contains an internal FA dedicated PC, in which LNB software is installed.
(Hereafter LNB software is abbreviated as LNB.)
LNB is an abbreviation for Line Network Box, which is a relay system connecting the machine
and NPM-DGS. Two or more machines are lined to control information intensively, download
production data, and compile the production management information.
Meanwhile, LWS is an abbreviation for Line Work Station, with which you can display the result
data kept in LNB through the browser on LWS. The PC you prepare is used for LWS. Without
installing software, you can access LNB using IE (Internet Explorer) 7.0 for the display.
In addition, NPM-DGS is an abbreviation for Data Generation System for NPM, which is software
to create production data.
NPM-DGS is not included in this product.
The LWS editor is a subset of NPM-DGS operated on LWS and connects to LNB to edit the
data on site.
Minimum configuration
This is used for the operation of one line.
One NL-CON1 is required.
LWS is shared with NPM-DGS.
