About This Manual
This manual is made up of parts, and within each part chapters. Because the
chapter numbers start from 1 in each part, the same chapter numbers are
repeated throughout the manual.
The version number starts at Version 1.0 for a newly published manual. When
minor corrections are made for misprints and omissions, the decimal part of the
version number increases. When the actual content of the manual is revised, the
integer part of the version number increases.
Because the version number on each page is changed only if that page is
revised, it should be clear which pages have been altered from the previous
manual.
Example:
Version 1.0 (A new manual)
Version 1.1 (Minor correction of misprints and omissions)
Version 2.0 (Major revision of contents)
Note: The above described version numbers are not related to the software version
numbers.

FCP IV-3 Operation

Introduction
This operation manual describes the operation procedures for the FCP IV-3.
Since there are parts of this manual that use specialized Fuji terminology, please
familiarize yourself with this terminology before reading this manual.
[Supervisor Computer]
The data used for FCP IV-3 operation is all managed at the supervisor
computer. The supervisor computer can be either an MCS-16F or MCS-30 but
for the purposes of this manual the term "MCS-30" is used as a general
reference to the supervisor computer. This term refers to the hardware unit of
the supervisor computer.
In addition to the 2 computer hardware units there are also 2 types of software
(MCS/2 and MCS/2H). In this manual the term "MCS/2H" is used as a
general reference to the software.
[Picking and Placing Parts]
Components of varying sizes from 1005 chips to SOJ 26 pin parts can be picked
and placed on the FCP IV-3. These parts that can be picked and placed are
referred to as "devices" in this manual.
