FCP IV-3 Operation
• START Button
A description of what happens when the [START] button is
pressed appears here.
To the right of each explanation a small figure shows where
on the control panel information is displayed, as indicated
by a shaded area.
• First Status Area
Displayed here is the name of the parent command, in other
words, the most recently selected command that has been
pressed to arrive at the current screen display. Because this
display usually shows the command name (the same as that
shown in the center box of each page), this item is excluded
for most command descriptions.
• Second Status Area
Information displayed in the second status area is shown
here.
• First Display Area
Information displayed in the first display area is shown here.
• Second Display Area
Information displayed in the second display area is shown
here.
• Input from Numerical Keypad
A description of what to input from the numerical keypad

AUTO : Press to carry out automatic operation of the
machine.
STEP : Press to carry out step operation of the
machine.
LOADER : Press to operate the loader.
PROGRAM : Press to select a production program.
SET : Press to make other settings.
✳ : This function key has no action.
This command page is displayed after the machine zeroing is
complete. It is also displayed when the [F6] function key is
pressed repeatedly from any command page.

FCP IV-3 Operation
• Action of the Function Keys
Cam Org. Pos : Press to return cam axis to its origin
position. While this key remains pressed
the cam will move toward its origin
position. Movement stops when the cam
returns to its origin. Movement also stops if
the key is released before the cam reaches
its origin.
The message "Return Cam to Zero" displays
in the second display area until the cam
reaches its origin. When the cam has
returned the message "Press START"
displays.
MARK EDITOR: Fiducial Mark Recovery command.
This command is available only for a
program using a fiducial mark sequence.
SEQ. NO : Press to input the sequence number from
which operation is to be started.
MODE : Press to select the operation mode.
Production Parts are picked-up and placed (usual
operation).
Simulate Only the X, Y, D1, D2 axes operate. Boards
are loaded in and sent out (used for
checking loading position etc).
Idle This machine runs continuously without
bringing in or sending out boards. Vision
processing is not performed. At ST 1 and ST
7 the nozzle lowers. Run this mode without
any parts on the nozzles. This mode is not
for production.
