Safety Precautions
Confirm that no covers are disengaged before the maintenance
work for the machine.
If the maintenance work is performed with its cover(s) being
detached, a serious accident may occur.
Be sure to attach them in place.
Make certain that no person or object comes in contact with the
moving mechanisms of the machine. Then, check safety and
power up the machine to start operation.
Do not start the machine unless those working in the immediate
area of the machine are aware of hazards from moving parts.
Do not modify the machine nor use any parts other than the
specified ones. Be sure not to work with its safety devices de-
tached. Doing otherwise may cause personal injury.
Do not change the settings of OS (Operating System) or install
any applications additionally.

Precautions before Maintenance (continued)
CAUTION
In principle, the overall operation of the machine including the
button operations on the operation panel and the touch screen
must be controlled by only one person.
If there are more than one, ensure good communication by giving loud
verbal instructions.
Even after the [EMERGENCY STOP] switch is pressed, note
that electrical power is supplied to the control device.
To shutdown the power to all loads, set the power breaker to
"OFF".
When an "Emergency Switch Off" function is required, it must
be prepared on the customer side.

Data may become unavailable due to breakdown or mishandling of
the machine.
It is strongly recommended that the hard disk data be periodically
backed up with the network terminal (option).
CAUTION
No person other than the service personnel is allowed to enter the
work area.
Before performing the automatic operation of the machine, check the
following items.
Checking Items:
(1) Confirmation of Power Supply and Air Pressure
("1.1" in "Chapter 2" of "Volume 1: Guide" in the instruction manual)
(2) Confirmation of Cover Section
("1.1" in "Chapter 2" of "Volume 1: Guide" in the instruction manual)
The floppy disk drive in the control box is provided only for
maintenance work. Do not use the drive for any other purposes.

Safety Precautions
Notes on Maintenance
This machine uses energetic driving systems and high voltage
to run at high speed. This power and voltage is high enough to
cause death or serious injury.
To avoid this danger, respect the following guideline.
zz
zz
z The maintenance work must be performed with the covers
being attached the machine.
DANGER
Only a well-trained person should perform the maintenance
work for the machine.
Do not allow any untrained person to perform the maintenance
work.
0506-002
Only qualified personnel should perform the maintenance work
carefully for the machine in compliance with the specified
instructions.
During maintenance, enclose the machine area with a barricade
tape and post "Under Adjustment DO NOT OPERATE"
signboard in a clear and visible place to prevent any third party
from operating the machine. Otherwise, a third party may turn
on the power switch of the machine during the maintenance
work and the machine will start running abruptly, causing an
electric shock or an injury.
WARNING
Before the maintenance work, be sure to turn off the power
breaker and the air source and lock them with padlocks.
Power Breaker: Set the power breaker to the "OFF" side and
lock it with a padlock.
Air Source : Stop the air supply and set the main valve to
the "EXH." side. After that, be sure to lock it
with a padlock.
Designate a person who can have charge of the padlock key.
If the provided padlock is lost or damaged, purchase its
substitute.
