Servo Alarm
Cause and Remedy
(Cause 3) High-duty operation or continuous regenerative
operation caused the permissible regenerative power
of the regenerative brake option to be exceeded.
[Checking Method]: Call the status display and check the
regenerative load ratio.
(Remedy 1) Reduce the frequency of positioning.
(Remedy 2) Use the regenerative brake option of larger
capacity.
(Remedy 3) Reduce the load.
(Cause 4) Power supply voltage is abnormal.
MR-J2S-B: 260 V or more
MR-J2S-B1: 135 V or more
(Remedy) Review power supply.
(Cause 5) Built-in regenerative brake resistor or regenerative
brake option faulty.
(Remedy) Change servo amplifier or regenerative brake
option.
Regenerative transistor fault
(Cause 6) Regenerative transistor faulty.
[Checking Method]: 1) The regenerative brake option has
overheated abnormally.
2) The alarm occurs even after
removal of the built-in
regenerative brake resistor or
regenerative brake option.
(Remedy) Change the servo amplifier.

Servo Alarm
Cause and Remedy
Speed has exceeded the instantaneous permissible speed.
(Cause 1) Small acceleration/deceleration time constant
caused overshoot to be large.
(Remedy) Increase acceleration/deceleration time constant.
(Cause 2) Servo system is instable to cause overshoot.
(Remedy 1) Reset servo gain to proper value.
(Remedy 2) If servo gain cannot be set to proper value:
1) Reduce load inertia moment ratio; or
2) Reexamine acceleration/deceleration time
constant.
31 Overspeed
(Cause 3) Encoder faulty.
(Remedy) Change the servo motor.
Current that flew is higher than the permissible current of
the servo amplifier.
(Cause 1) Short occurred in servo amplifier output phases U,
V and W.
(Remedy) Correct the wiring.
(Cause 2) Transistor of the servo amplifier faulty.
[Checking Method]: Alarm (32) occurs if power is
switched on after U, V and W are
disconnected.
(Remedy) Change the servo amplifier.
(Cause 3) Ground fault occurred in servo amplifier output
phases U, V and W.
(Remedy) Correct the wiring.
32 Overcurrent
(Cause 4) External noise caused the overcurrent detection circuit
to misoperate.
(Remedy) Take noise suppression measures.

Servo Alarm
Cause and Remedy
Converter bus voltage exceeded 400 V DC.
(Cause 1) Regenerative brake option is not used.
(Remedy) Use the regenerative brake option.
(Cause 2) Though the regenerative brake option is used, the
parameter No. 2 setting is "00 (not used)".
(Remedy) Make correct setting.
(Cause 3) Lead of built-in regenerative brake resistor or
regenerative brake option is open or disconnected.
(Remedy 1) Change lead.
(Remedy 2) Connect correctly.
(Cause 4) Regenerative transistor faulty
(Remedy) Change servo amplifier.
(Cause 5) Wire breakage of built-in regenerative brake resistor
or regenerative brake option
(Remedy 1) For wire breakage of built-in regenerative brake
resistor, change servo amplifier.
(Remedy 2) For wire breakage of regenerative brake option,
change regenerative brake option.
(Cause 6) Power supply voltage high
(Remedy) Review the power supply.
33 Overvoltage
(Cause 7) Ground fault occurred in servo amplifier output
phases U, V, and W.
(Remedy) Correct the wiring.
