8.17 Vision Measurement before and after Dipping
As default, the Vision measurement is performed after dipping. As of this station software version,
the Vision measurement can optionally be performed before and after dipping.
Thus, slipped components can be detected and the position corrected after dipping.
The option is set in SIPLACE Pro.
8.18 Smart Pin Support Fast Configuration Change
If an existing pin configuration on the lifting table shall be replaced by a new pin configuration, the
pins will not be put back into the pin magazine anymore. Instead of that the existing pins will be
moved on the lifting table. This shortens the time for the configuration change.
Detailed information can be found in the User Manual Smart Pin Support, item no. [00197001-xx].
8.19 New Feeder Types
The station software supports the new feeder types that are described in the following sections.
8.19.1 Multiple JEDEC Tray Feeder
The new Multiple JEDEC Tray Feeder is supported by the station software on the SX1/SX2 V2
and the SIPLACE X-series S placement machines. This feeder resembles the "Traystack Feeder
AX" feeder and supports additionally:
Different component types within one feeder
14 or 18 waffle pack trays per cassette
Retrofitting of the entire cassette
On the SIPLACE X-series S placement machines the Multiple JEDEC Tray Feeder is set up on the
manual MTF 40 X component table.
On the SX1/SX2 V2 placement machine the feeder is set up on the special MTF 60 X table in the
WPC feed device.

The feeder type with 14 levels per cassette is provided to transport tall components. There is no
difference between the feeder types with 14 or 18 levels per cassette in the station software, the
full capacity with 18 levels per cassette is always assumed. At the station Multiple JEDEC Tray
Feeder is displayed as feeder type for both types.
If the Setup verification is not used, the level settings of the concerned waffle pack trays also
remain at the station after a reboot.
NOTICE
It is not intended to omit any levels for tall components. Instead, the different cassette
types shall be used.
8.19.2 JEDEC Tray Stack Feeder
The new JEDEC Tray Stack Feeder is supported on the SX1/SX2 V2 and the SIPLACE X-series S
placement machines. This feeder resembles the "Traystack Feeder AX" feeder but is equipped with
a longer feed axis.
The JEDEC Tray Stack Feeder can be set up at the same positions as the Multiple JEDEC Tray
Feeder.
8.19.3 SIPLACE Wafer Systems 12 1&3 and 12 2&4
The SIPLACE Wafer Systems 12 1&3 and 12 2&4 are supported on the CA-series placement
machines. Please refer to section 8.1.

8.20 Multiple LDU-X Modules on One Table
Multiple LDU-X modules can be placed on one table. This feature is supported by the station
software. The LDU-X modules can be equipped with different process material and flux thickness.
SIPLACE Pro controls that the entire dipping area can be reached and does not allow any LDU-X
position outside of the head travel range.
In the setup as many LDU-X modules are created as defined in SIPLACE Pro.
8.21 FCCS Calibration within the Line
An FCCS calibration can be performed to compare the brightness values of the cameras within the
line.
If the machine to be calibrated stands in a line, it is now possible for it to take over the FCCS
magazine from the preceding machine and transport it to the end of the line for removal.
WARNING
As the transport of the magazine with the calibration unit takes place without any
intervention by the operator, the entire line has to be switched into the FCCS mode!
At all machines in the line either Cameras for the FCCS calibration or only Feed through mode
must be selected on the FCCS GUI. Thus, the correct width for the used conveyor lane is set
automatically. All preconditions (e.g. Remove Support Pins, Unload boards) must be complied
with so that the magazine is expected in the input conveyor of every machine in the line.
The FCCS magazine must be inserted manually in the first machine. The calibration starts
automatically, and after the results have been stored or rejected, the magazine is transported to the
next waiting machine at which the calibration starts automatically. Machines in Feed through
mode transport the magazine to the next machine automatically.
At the end of the line the magazine remains in the output conveyor and can be removed manually.
