13. "DETERMINE CAMERA NOZZLE OFFSET" follows automatically:
NOTE
If, when you are about to individually select this menu option, you are no longer sure whether you have in
the meantime exchanged or turned the calibration plate, you should in any case repeat the calibration,
starting with "DETERMINE CALIBRATION FACTORS".
Measuring procedure:
• The calibration plate is picked up, centered, turned and deposited. The distance between the nozzle
center and camera center is measured.
• The values determined including their algebraic signs are automatically displayed and saved:
CAMERA NOZZLE OFFSET
CAMERA OFFSET OLD X,Y ....... .......
CAMERA OFFSET NEW X,Y ....... .......
CAMERA NOZZLE OFFSET COMPLETED
14. "DETERMINE JAW OFFSET" follows automatically:
• The calibration plate is picked up, centered and put down, several times.
• The values determined are displayed and automatically transferred to the main memory.
JAW OFFSET
Z-JAW CORRECTION OLD : -.05 H-JAW CORRECTION OLD : -.07
Z-JAW CORRECTION NEW: -.05 H-JAW CORRECTION NEW: -.08
JAW OFFSET COMPLETED
15. Check the new jaws correction value displayed.
NOTE
The jaws correction value is displayed in mm (incl. sign).
The max. acceptable Z and/or H-jaws correction value is ± 0.20 mm.
➤ If the Z or H-jaws offset value is larger than ± 0.20 mm: adjust the symmetry of the jaws (see Service
Manual or adjusting instructions for jaws) → repeat the camera calibration, starting with "DETERMINE
CALIBRATION FACTORS".
16. After completion of all four measuring routines, all determined measurement results are displayed.
• Confirm the display with "RETURN".
17. The calibration plate is deposited, the PCB conveyed to the output conveyor and the main menu displayed.
• Remove the PCB, together with the calibration plate, from the output conveyor.
18. From the main menu, select "STORING". The values are transferred to the work diskette.

7.14 COMPONENT CAMERA MENU
For the procedure, note:
➤
First
determine the "COMPONENT CAMERA HEIGHT"
and then
"EXECUTE THE FOLLOWING POINTS".
➤ Correct calibration factors are a
prerequisite
for the further calibration (remember this when selecting the
menu options individually).
➤ After the measuring routine "DETERMINE CALIBRATION FACTORS" and acceptance of the new calibra-
tion factors (= after successful measurement!) the menu options "DETERMINE CAMERA CENTRE" and
"DETERMINE ROTATION ANGLE" on the component camera menu must
also
be carried out in any case!
➤ Moreover, when
individually selecting
the menu options, note:
The calibration plate must not be
exchanged or turned, not even
180 degrees,
between the individual
measuring procedures.
Testing aids required
• Steel nozzle in perfect condition, type 104, item no. 00301435
• Vacuum nozzle adapter, type 117, item no. 00300659
• VISION 2 calibration plate, item no. 00132070
• Teach panel (external), item no. 00132207
7.14.1 Procedure: "COMPONENT CAMERA HEIGHT"
NOTE
With machines up to and including
batch identity no. 3
, width adjustment is
now
to be performed using
the handwheel. However, this is not necessary if you only wish to carry out the measuring routine "COM-
PONENT CAMERA HEIGHT" as no PCB needs to be placed into the conveyor in this case.
1.
From the main menu, select the
"COMPONENT CAMERA MENU"
.
The "COMPONENT CAMERA MENU" (see Fig. 1.4) is displayed on the screen.
• Now, if you have not already done so in the course of individual checks, install a steel nozzle in perfect
condition (normal size) → not a
pointed
nozzle!
2.
First select
"CENTERING CAMERA HEIGHT"
. The following display appears on the screen:
’TEACH’ PLACEMENT HEAD OVER COMPONENT CAMERA
TEACHING IS ON, ’END’ TO FINISH
NOTE
In addition the current ACTUAL position of the placement head in X, Y and Z-directions is displayed.
3.
Teach the nozzle in X/Y-direction approximately in the
center
above the glass disk of the component vision
module and then press "END" on the teach panel.
➤ The Z-axis is lowered by means of the sensor stop.

The following display appears on the screen:
IS NOZZLE DOWN ON COMPONENT CAMERA ?
PRESS <RETURN>
4. Visually inspect the contact point of the nozzle and confirm with "RETURN" (even when
the Z-axis has been incorrectly placed on the plate). The following display appears on the screen:
CENTERING CAMERA HEIGHT 1.3
CENTERING CAMERA HEIGHT; OLD: ............... NEW: ................
ACCEPT VALUE(S) ? (YES / NO)
NOTE
The height value displayed indicates the difference between the PCB lower edge and the surface of the
glass disk, in mm.
5. If the point of contact was incorrect, then select "NO" and repeat the sequence as described above from
point 3 onward.
6. If the point of contact was correct then select "YES". The values determined are accepted.
• The COMPONENT CAMERA MENU is displayed.
7.14.2 Procedure: "EXECUTE THE FOLLOWING POINTS"
NOTE
Carefully take hold of the calibration plate only at the outer edges. Check the calibration plate:
➤ The surface must be clean (no dust, etc.) and without any oxidation layer on it.
➤ All metal surfaces must have the same coloring. Otherwise it is possible that the pin configuration
cannot be recognized during the measurement procedure!
1. On machines up to and including batch identity no. 3, adjust now the conveyor width to the width of the
PCB (handwheel).
2. From the Centering Camera menu select "EXECUTE THE FOLLOWING POINTS". The following display
appears on the screen:
PLUG-IN POSITION NEXT TO COMPONENT CAMERA MUST BE FREE DURING CALIBRATION !!!!
PRESS <RETURN>
• Performance of the action:
Check the space to the left and right of the optic module and remove , if necessary, the feeder modu-
le(s). The coplanarity laser module is not a hindrance when measuring (same height) and therefore re-
mains installed. When these requirements have been fulfilled, confirm with "RETURN".
3. The "DETERMINE CALIBRATION FACTORS" run follows automatically:
• The calibration plate is picked up and centered. The following display appears on the screen:
