10.1.3 On the UNIX Line Computer: Loading the Files, incl. "_ .SRP"
•
After "STORING" and completed calibration, remove the
work diskette
containing the created or modified
files, from the disk drive of the station computer and take the diskette to the line computer
•
Insert the diskette into the disk drive of the line computer.
•
Using the Data Manager copy the new MA-Data to the master data storage, proceeding as follows:
Data Manager: DOS (e.g. "1.44MB", depending on formatting) ---> Data Manager: Master Data: Stations:
<Station name>.st.
NOTE
At present, the File Manager copies the
mapping file "_.SRP"
to the master data storage as "
.srp
"
file. This can be corrected by simply renaming (move file) the file from " .srp" to " .SRP". (File designa-
tion "
_
. " only on DOS diskettes, on the UNIX line computer the file designation is "
.
" ).
If too many files are contained in the station directory, the message "File cannot be copied" may be
displayed. Correct this by deleting files that are
no longer
required (File - Delete).
•
First delete the
" _.SMA"
file from the master data storage as otherwise this file will not be recompiled
and therefore not contain the latest update of the data.
NOTE
Compiling and deleting the files is not possible if a placement cycle was started.
•
Subsequently compile the read-in files:
Data Manager: Master Data: Stations: <Station name>.st
→
Select menu option "Compile".
•
If prior to copying the MA-Data two reject positions were entered on the line computer (for the AutoCal run
the number of reject positions needed to be changed to one!), those
two
reject positions must be
entered
again before the station software is started!
10.1.4 Final Work Before Starting the Station Software
•
Establish the
reference status of the nozzle changer HS-180
(hardware/software compatibility):
•
The nozzle insert must remain installed for the placement cycle that follows.
•
No nozzle may have been picked up by the placement head nor have been installed manually!
•
All nozzle types (allocation to be looked up on the line computer) must be inserted in the nozzle chan-
ger - their proper allocation
to the respective location no. having been observed!

•
In the case of existing UNIX Machine Data: Change, if necessary, the reject positions in the MA-Data of
the line computer back from one position to two positions, provided this corresponded to the entry that exi-
sted prior to the start of the AutoCal program run.
•
If necessary, also determine the X,Y and Z-positions of the mechanical centering station and the adapter
station, proceeding as described in the Service Manual.
10.2 Final Work on HS-180 Adhesive Station II
10.2.1 BASIC line computer (from LRB 102.xxx): Loading the Files
Read in the MA_DATEI containing the new values and the PASSPKT_ file created during mapping, by loa-
ding them from the work diskette to the hard disk of the BASIC line computer, as described for the HS-180 in
section 10.1.1.
10.2.2 Unique to Software Version 2.01 (LRB 1XX.xxx) on BASIC Line Computers:
Reading In the PASSPKT_ File
The PASSPKT_ file is to be read in and renamed prior to and after being copied to the BASIC line computer,
proceeding as described for the HS-180 in section 10.1.2.
CAUTION
∆
!
The compressed air for the dispensing stroke was reduced to 3 bar for the AutoCal program run!
Now - prior to the start of the station software - readjust the compressed air for the dispensing stroke
(right-hand pressure gauge) to the previously adjusted value (3.5 bar) ! Lock the machine base door.
Reinstall both adhesive cartridges in their proper positions!

10.3 Final Work on MS-102, 128 and 132
•
As far as the MA-Data, incl. the MA_MSZUS and the PASSPKT file are concerned, no final work is re-
quired. The determined data were already transferred directly to the hard disk (Winchester) by means
of "STORING" performed in the course of the measuring procedure. However, to be really sure, select
"STORING" one more time before you exit from the AutoCal program.
•
If not already done before, it is important that the
conveyor of the waffle-pack changer
be relocated
now
( = prior to starting the station software) back to the
inner
position
and
also the position of the
limit
switch
for max. conveyor width be adjusted accordingly! Take heed of the following DANGER text!
For the performance of this work proceed as described in the
User’s Manual
MS-102 /132, chapter 8.
DANGER

DAMAGE TO THE MACHINE

∆
!
Waffle-pack changer:
After the waffle-pack changer conveyor has been relocated to the inner position, it is absolutely necessary that
also the limit switch be moved to the previous, marked position ( = max. PCB conveyor
travel range 410mm) !
Otherwise, the adjusting movement of the PCB conveyor will
not
be
turned off
when the automatic width
adjustment operation is carried out. The motor of the width adjustment, the toothed belt and / or the con-
veyor assembly would be
damaged
as a consequence
!
Nozzle changer:
Where a nozzle changer is installed on the machine, the same must be - that is prior to starting the stati-
on software - be activated. This should be checked in the MA-Data!
Otherwise a
crash of the Z-axis (!)
will definitively occur
due to the incorrect direction of travel
(see
Service Manual MS-102/132, chap. 14, topic "Nozzle Changer"). Establish the
reference status of the
nozzle changer
on the MS-machine as follows:
•
Ensure that the nozzle insert has been installed for the placement operation that follows:
•
Manually insert the standard nozzle type 4 in the placement head (axis sleeve)!
•
Check whether the nozzle types are installed and locked in position, correctly allocated to the location
nos. in the nozzle changer! (For specification of allocation refer to the Service Manual, chapter 14).
•
Check the following: The service position location must be
unoccupied
so as to be in a position to
receive nozzles!
NOTE
Any undefined status of the nozzle changer will lead to a malfunction in the placement operation
•
As a last step,
determine or check
the following MA-data / positions
following the completion of the AutoCal
measuring procedure
observing the instructions in the
Service Manual
MS-102/132, chap. 2, section 2.8:
•
the adhesive station zero point (if not already done after "DETERMINE MACHINE ZERO POSITION"),
•
if applicable, the positions of the "mech. centering station" and the "Adapter station" and
•
if applicable, the component pick-up positions from the waffle-pack trays.
•
Reinstall, if necessary, the
centering plates
in the placement station and adhesive station conveyors (2
socket-head cap screws each).
