5.3.8 DETERMINE SENSOR MOVABLE SIDE ("Width adjustment offset")
This measuring routine is used to measure - for a defined conveyor width - the distance between the refer-
ence point and the Bero switching point in +Y-direction (= "Width adjustment offset").
To carry out the measurement,
prior
to selecting the measuring routine adjust the conveyor width exactly to
the width of the PCB used by means of "CONVEYOR BELT WIDTH ADJUSTMENT" - so that the PCB is con-
veyed without problem to the output station / without jamming. Then enter this PCB width (use a point as deci-
mal place) in mm into the computer when prompted in the measuring sequence to do so.
You require the "Width adjustment offset" value as reference value for automatic width adjustment:
—
In the AutoCal measuring sequence to adjust, for instance, the conveyor automatically to the mapping pla-
te width, to adjust the exact desire width using the "Conveyor width adjustment" function.
—
In the placement cycle, to adjust the conveyor automatically to the PCB width entered in the NU file.
5.3.9 MAPPING MENU
Mapping is used for the automatic measurement of the gantry offset.
On MS-machines the
steel
mapping procedure is offered.
Upon mapping, the PASSPKT (Mapping file) file of the machine is generated. The correction values entered
in this file which were determined by mapping are taken into account in the placement process for ap-
proaching the placement positions. This results in better
placement accuracy
of the station.
The MA zero point correction values previously determined and displayed within the scope of the mapping
procedure must be adopted for the performance of the measurement.
However, the values determined by the "MEASURE MACHINE ZERO POSITION" function will not be over-
written!
Upon selecting "START COMPARISON MEASUREMENT" (not required for the routine check) the compari-
son measurement with respect to the PASSPKT file existing on the hard disk is performed.
To perform the complete mapping process, work through the menu options (see Fig. 1.10) in the sequence
displayed.
➤ The mapping plates for MS-102, MS-128 and MS-132 machines have different dimensions (see chapter
3.3, under the topic "Testing Aids").
➤ The
temperature requirements
for steel mapping must be fulfilled as described in section 5.1.8.

5.3.10 ADHESIVE MENU
When this menu option has been called up, a
submenu
is displayed (see Fig. 1.10).
To calibrate the PCB camera of the adhesive station, the two menu items "DETERMINE CALIBRATION
FACTORS ADH. CAMERA" and "DETERMINE DISTANCE CAMERA - ADHESIVE NOZZLE" are to be cal-
led up successively.
Prerequisite for this calibration are: The MA-zero point and the adhesive station zero point must have already
been checked / corrected (see also "Interdependent Calibrations for Individual Checks, sections 6.1 and 6.4.).
When performing the initial calibration of the PCB camera of the adhesive station, a MA_MSZUS file must al-
ready exist on the hard disk.
5.3.11 AXES INIT MENU
When this menu option has been called up, a
submenu
is displayed (see Fig. 1.9).
The further description of this menu is contained in section 5.1.9!
5.3.12 NOZZLE MENU
When this menu option has been called up, a
submenu
is displayed (see Fig. 1.11).
The further description of this menu is contained in section 5.1.10.
Please note:
—
Prerequisite for the output of this measuring routine is that the nozzle changer for MS-102 or 128 or 132 is
activated in the MA-Data, as indicated in the Service Manual MS-102/132, Chapter 14, section "Nozzle
Changer".
—
The activation of the nozzle changer can be checked during the AutoCal measuring sequence with the aid
of the "EDIT MENU" under "Options", yet it cannot be changed!

∆
!
If the hardware of a
nozzle changer
is installed on the machine, it is absolutely necessary that the same
be also
activated by "1"
in the MA-Data.
—
Upon terminating the nozzle endurance run (by pressing any key) the nozzle picked up last is deposited
as assigned, i.e. thereafter
no more
nozzle is picked up. In this connection, observe the
following NOTE!
NOTE
Before starting the placement operation, the
reference status
of the nozzle changer (hardware-software
coordination) must be established as upon the start of the placement cycle the computer assumes that
nozzle
type 104
(normal nozzle) has been picked up (= current nozzle) and that the service position on
the nozzle changer is
free
(Establishing the Reference Status
→
see section 10.4 "Reworking...").

5.3.13 EXECUTE NEXT 4 POINTS
The description of this menu option is contained in section 5.1.11!
➤ Pay attention to the WORKAROUND pertaining to this menu option → section 12.4.
5.3.14 DETERMINE CALIBRATION FACTORS OF HEAD CAMERA
This measuring routine is used to determine the calibration factors of the head camera.
The following 3 menu options are interdependent in vertical direction.
5.3.15 DETERMINE ANGLE CORRECTION OF D-AXIS
This option is used to determine the D-zero point correction value. This value is, among others, prerequisite
for the performance of the "NOZZLE MENU", in particular for the determination of the Z-positions and the
"NOZZLE ENDUR. RUN".
5.3.16 DETERMINE CAMERA NOZZLE OFFSET
This measuring routine is used to determine the distance between PCB camera center and nozzle center.
➤ Pay attention to the WORKAROUND pertaining to this menu option → section 12.4.
5.3.17 DETERMINE JAW OFFSET
The jaws offset determined indicates the symmetrical offset of the Z or H-jaws and is entered as "Jaws offset
X / Y" in the MA-Data.
➤ Therefore, prerequisite for this measuring routine is that the jaws symmetry has already been properly ad-
justed (see Service Manual, chap. 9 or "Adjustment Instructions for Jaws").
5.3.18 COMPONENT CAMERA MENU
After selecting this menu option, a submenu is displayed (see Fig. 1.10).
The further description of this menu option is contained in section 5.1.16!
➤ Pay attention to the WORKAROUND pertaining to this menu option → section 12.5
.
The required entries in the MA-Data are described in the Service Manual MS-102 / 132,
chap. 14, section "Optical Component Centering (Component Vision)".
The component camera is arranged next to the operator side, usually in front of the coplanarity laser module.
