DANGER OF ACCIDENT / DANGER OF CRASH
For the performance of the work described in the following it is prerequisite that you be familiar with the
contents of chapter 2 "Safety" and the description of the respective menu option in chapter 5! For the per-
formance of individual checks, chapter 6 must be observed in addition!
1. For the HS-180, start the AutoCal program as described in section 4.2.6 or 4.2.7.
The Machine selection menu (see section 1.4.1) is displayed.
When starting from diskette and using the set of DD-diskettes: At this point, insert installation diskette 2.
NOTE
UNIX machine data can only be processed if the following was selected from the machine selection
menu: Test HS-180 using SV 2.03 / 2.08 / 2.09 / UNIX
Please note: During the measurement of the machine, the station configuration (files "_.sk" and "_.kd")
on the line computer must not be changed as the changes will be overwritten upon restoring the master
data (from the work diskette). The work diskette (write protection deactivated) containing the MA-Data is
to remain in the disk drive of the station computer during the performance of the measurement!
2. Insert the work diskette containing the complete MA-data of the line into the disk drive.
3. Select the machine type to be calibrated together with the corresponding software version:
NOTE
On UNIX-based systems no file with the name "MA_DATEI" (on the DOS diskette) is allowed to be in the
disk drive, as first the MA_DATEI is searched for and only thereafter the UNIX files ("_ .sk" and "_ .kd").
At this stage, the program performs a check as to which files will be required (e.g. MA_ZUSATZ) and
whether these are available and errorfree. If applicable, the following error message may be displayed:
"NO MACHINE DATA FOUND" or "MA_ZUSATZ NOT LOADED"
Remedy: Insert work diskette with the complete MA-data into the disk drive "AGAIN".
(Select END to exit from the program.)
If the MA-data are not compatible with the selected machine type, a message appears on the screen,
as for example:
SELECTED SW VERSION DOES NOT CORRESPOND TO MA_DATEI VERSION
MA_DATEI-VERSION V2.01
SW-VERSION V2.03 /2.08 /2.09 / UNIX (ICOS 2 Q)
PLEASE CHECK FILE VERSION.
If this error message is displayed it is absolutely necessary that the AutoCal program be restarted:
User’s Manual AutoCal Program 7 AutoCal Measuring Sequence: Routine Checks on HS-180 Placement Stations
Software Version 114.xxx
7 - 1
Reset computer: Press SHIFT and RESET (computer 300/362) or SHIFT and PAUSE (computer 200)
on the line computer copy the correct MA-data to the work diskette restart the AutoCal program.
NOTE
If the data format was not changed it may happen that the BASIC line computer does not
automatically modify the version string. (e.g. update from LRB.102 to LRB.208).
The new version (V2.01 in place of V2.09) can be entered by saving the MA-data on the BASIC line
computer station-by-station (see also section 4.2 " Pre-Calibration Work on HS-180").
If there is compatibility, the following WARNING is displayed:
WARNING
!
!
Take heed of this warning in the interest of your own safety and to prevent damage to the equipment
(see also chapter 2 "Safety").
4. Acknowledge the WARNING displayed by pressing "RETURN" whereafter the following display appears
on the screen:
SWITCH ON CONTROL UNIT
5. Press the "Control unit" button on the control panel of the machine whereafter the following query is displayed:
Z AXIS IN UPPER POSITION ? HEAD IN UPPER POSITION ?
Visually inspect if the following condition is met: The Z-axis must be in its upper end position.
Now select the correct (!) function key YES / NO (for placement stations applies: "Z AXIS IN UPPER
POSITION?")!
DANGER
!
!
!
DANGER OF PLACEMENT HEAD CRASH!
If the query is answered with YES, the Z-axis must really be in the raised position as the gantry refer-
ence run is subsequently performed!
NO: Display of the main menu select EDIT MENU correct the zero point correction values of the
head axes (see section 7.1).
YES: The gantry reference run follows see point 6 on how to continue.
6. No nozzle changer is activated: display of the main menu (see Fig. 1.2) continue with section 7.1
