NOTE:
Save ("Storing") the values determined only after the following measuring routine has been performed
(DETERMINE DISTANCE CAMERA - ADHESIVE NOZZLE) as upon exiting from the ADHESIVE MENU
by selecting "END" the PCB is conveyed out of the machine.
6. Select "DISTANCE CAMERA - ADH. NOZZLE (OLD X,Y -- NEW X,Y)".
The following display appears on the screen:
- FIX PLASTICINE ON PCB
- EXCHANGE ADH. CARTRIDGE FOR KLEBER-NULLPUNKT-LEHRE (K-N-L)
- ’TEACH’ K-N-L OVER PLASTICINE
- AFTER ’END’ AN IMPRESSION IN THE PLASTICINE IS CREATED
TEACHING IS ON, ’END’ TO FINISH
Performance of the action:
Open protective cover apply plasticine (form a thin plate) to the center of the PCB by pressing it
on remove adhesive cartridge including pressure spring (see chapter 10, Service Manual) In-
stall adjusting gauge for adhesive station zero point (referred to as "KNL")teach the tip of the
"K-N-L" above the plasticine press the "END" button on the teach panelafter END the Z-axis
is lowered once an impression is produced in the plasticinethe Z-axis is raised again.
7. Now teach the camera above the impression until the crosshairs are in exactly centered position above
the impression on the screen.
8. Press again the "END" button on the teach panel. The CAMERA OFFSET is displayed on the screen, as
for example:
DISTANCE CAMERA - ADH. NOZZLE (OLD X,Y -- NEW X,Y)
21.290 -4.6950 - - 11.420 -45.470
PRESS <RETURN>
9. Check the values and press "RETURN". The values are transferred to the main memory.
The following display appears on the screen:
STORING MA_MSZUS (YES/NO)
10. Transfer the values determined (calibration factors and distance) for the adhesive station PCB camera to the
MA_MSZUS file (Winchester) of the machine by selecting the function key for "YES" now.
NOTE:
The values held in the MA_MSZUS file cannot be displayed.
11. Further actions: Select "END" display of the main menu remove PCB from the output conveyor
open protective cover remove adhesive station zero point gauge (Kleber-Nullpunkt-Lehre) Reinstall
adhesive cartridge including pressurespring close protective cover switch on the control.

9.13 AXES INITIALIZING MENU
This menu (together with the EDIT MENU)is required
only
if you had to respond to the query
"Z AXIS IN UP-
PER POSITION ?"
with
NO
upon the start of the AutoCal program (see section 7.1).
In this case proceed as described for the HS-180 in section
7.11
.
9.14 NOZZLE MENU
Observe the correct
allocation
of the nozzles (see "Adapter Coordinates" / Service Manual MS, chap.
"Station Extensions")!
A prerequisite for this measuring routine is, among others:
"ANGLE CORRECTION D-AXIS"
must have
been determined!
Nozzle changer on MS-1xx:
7
normal holders and
1
special holder (= different from HS-180 !)
Perform the procedure for "DETERMINE NOZZLE POSITIONS" and "NOZZLE ENDUR. RUN"
analo-
gously
to the description for HS-180, section
7.12 and 7.13
(testing aids: see 7.12 and 7.13).
CAUTION
!
To conclude, establish the
"reference status
of the nozzle changer MS-1xx" (section
10.3) !
9.15 "EXECUTE NEXT 4 POINTS" (calibration PCB Vision System)
Perform the calibration proceeding as described for the HS-180 in section
7.14
.
Testing aids required: see section 7.14
NOTE
The jaws correction values are displayed in mm (incl. sign).
The max. perm. Z and / or H-jaws correction is ± 0.20 mm and is entered in the MA-Data on MS-1xx
machines under
"JAW OFFSET X / Y"
.
To conclude, select
"STORING"
. The new values are entered in the MA-Data on the hard disk.
9.16 COMPONENT CAMERA MENU
As a rule, the component camera is located in front of the coplanarity laser module (next to the operator).
Approximately correct values for the X/Y-position (in MA-Data under
"CENTERING STATION"
) should
have already been entered.
Perform
all
menu options of the "COMPONENT CAMERA MENU" as described for the HS-180,
section
7.15
.
Testing aids required: see section 7.15.

9.17 DETERMINE COPLANARITY COORDINATES
The coplanarity laser module is arranged on the operator’s side, normally between the component camera
and the nozzle changer.
An approximately correct starting value for the X/Y-position of the laser module should have already been
entered in the MA-Data (under "INK SPOT"!).
Perform the determination of the coplanarity data as described for HS-180, section
7.15
.
Testing aids required: see section 7.15.
9.18 AXES MOVEMENT MENU
This menu is intended for testing purposes, error isolation and the adjustment of gantry and head axes.
Within the scope of the Routine Check it is required
only if
a
deviation
> 2 counts
was obtained during the
initially performed axis adjustment (see menu option "CHECK AXIS ADJUSTMENT").
All information about the
use
of the AXES MOVEMENT MENU is contained in the description of this
menu option in section
5.1.20.
For all
safety instructions
displayed during the performance of this menu refer to
section 2.3
!
9.19 I/O MENU
This menu is only selected for testing purposes and error isolation.
Skip this menu option for the performance of the Routine Check.
All information about the
use
of the I/O MENU is contained in the description of this menu option in section
5.1.21.
Prior to the performance of this menu option read the safety instructions contained in section 2.4 .
In particular observe the
