1.2 Basic Operations in "Selection of component ID" Window
1.2.7 Property of Component ID
(1) Select the component ID to view its property.
(2) Press the [Property...] button. (The "Property" dialog box opens.)

Displayed is the property of the selected component ID.
[2] Placeable Data (Unident., OK, NG, ?)
It can be displayed as log data to be checked if the machine can place this component or not. The
check boxes can be used to change the function.
[3] Attributes (Protect, Common, Std Id)
Displayed are the attributes of the selected component ID. The check boxes enable the
operator to change the corresponding attributes.
“Protect
When this check box is ticked, the component ID is specified as “Protected”.When a
component ID is protected, the data cannot be edited.
“Common
When this check box is ticked, the component ID is specified as “Common” (to be registered
as a common component).
The “common” can also be set with the [Common] button described in 1.3 Editing of
Component Library Data.
[4] [OK] Button
When this button is pressed, the changed attributes are applied if any and the “Property” sheet
closes.
[5] [Cancel] Button
The changed attributes are not applied and the “Property” sheet closes.
[6] [Apply] Button
The changed attributes are applied.

1.3.1 "Component Library" Edit Window
Select the desired component ID in the "Selection of component ID" window and press the [Open]
button. The "Component Library Edit" window opens.

(a) When the "New" icon is pressed, a new window opens. Default parameters are set in
the new window.
(b) The displayed contents change according to the selected component shape.

Edit the component library data in each tab sheet.
Refer to “Volume 6 : Component Library” for the description of the component library data
items.
The standard component library data prepared by us cannot be edited. Before editing data in
a file, give another name to the file and save it, using (
) icon.

1.3 Editing of Component Library Data
1.3.2 Saving of Component IDs
The following describes how to save a newly created file (component ID) or the edited parameters
of the component ID.
(1) Press the [
(Save)] or the [ (Save As)] icon on the toolbar.
:Save
When pressed, this saves the edited component ID (file), replacing the original component
ID (file) with the current one. However, if the component ID is protected, it cannot be
overwritten. In this case, [
(Save)] icon is not displayed.
:Save As
When pressed, this saves a newly created file (data of a new component ID) or the edited
file with another name (component ID).
(2) Press the [
(Save)] icon.
(The active component library data is saved with the current component ID name, replacing
the original program with the active one.)
(3) Press the [
(Save As)] icon. (The "List of Component ID" window appears.)

(4) Enter a new component ID name as a file name and press [Save] button in the “Save
Component Data” window.
(The data in the active edit window is saved as a file with the entered component ID name.)
Double-clicking the “Component ID:” text box opens the “Search” window.

A component ID can be entered with the touch keypad for editing.
