Lubricating the AXI runner blocks
Required: Lubricating grease KP2K, NLGI class 2 according to DIN 51818
Grease gun
Lubricating the
X-axis runner
block
Perform the following work steps:
1. Stand behind the inspection system and open the rear swing
doors.
2. Manually move the AXI transport track in the middle of the X-
axis of the AXI area.
3. Duck down to get better access to the runner blocks from
below.
Runner blocks A, B and C have grease nipple extensions. Guide
carriage D has a 45° angle grease nipple.
4. Check guide carriage and guide rails for contamination; clean if
required.
5. Grease the runner blocks A, B and C through the grease nipple
extensions; use 0.4 cm

grease.

6. Grease runner block D through the angled grease nipple; use
0.4 cm

grease.
7. Manually move the AXI transport track into the AOI section so
that it is adjacent the AOI transport track.
8. Stand in front of the inspection system.
The two runner blocks on the AXI transport tracks can now be
reached.
9. Grease the runner blocks through the funnel grease nipples;
use 0.4 cm
3
grease.
10.Move the runner blocks back and forth with three double
strokes; the distance should be equal to at least three times
the length of a runner block.
11.Check if there is a visible grease layer on the guide rails.

Y-axis runner
blocks
Perform the following work steps:
1. Move the AXI transport track in y direction as much as possible
into the AXI area.
2. Stand behind the inspection system.

3. Grease the two rear guide carriages (left) and the right guide
carriage on the Y-axis through the funnel grease nipples; use 3

5. Stand in front of the inspection system.
6. Grease the two front runner blocks through the funnel grease
nipples; use 1.4 cm
