Packing the inspection system in the transport case
For overseas transport, Viscom recommends having the inspection
system packed in a suitable transport case by an industrial packing
company.
NOTE
To prevent improper lifting and transporting, mark the center of
gravity on the transport case according to the center of gravity
sketches, see „Center of Mass“ (Page 260).
Transporting the inspection system
Before beginning to transport the system, read and understand the
accompanying transport manual.

Storage
For storage, it is important to ensure that the inspection system
and its accessories are protected from potential damage.
NOTE
Always store the system in its original packaging until it is installed
and observe the storage requirements.
Ensure appropriate protection to prevent damage due to the
following factors:
Rain, humidity
Temperature fluctuations that may cause condensation
Dust
Aggressive and soiling environments which may lead to corro-
sion
Mechanical damage or unauthorized opening of the packaging
Strong vibration (loosening of attached parts, fatigue damage,
etc.)
If the X-ray tube is not used for a longer time, a warmup
procedure has to be performed at least every 3 months to
guarantee function, see „Maintenance“ > „Warm-up procedure“
(Page 220).
