X- and Y-axis spindles
Lubricating the runner blocks and spindles
Required: Lubricating grease KP2K, NLGI class 2 according to DIN 51818
Grease gun
Extension attachment, approx. 120 mm
Lubricating the
X-axis runner
block
Perform the following work steps:
1. Stand behind the inspection system and open the rear swing
doors.
2. Pull the X-axis toward yourself.
3. Check guide carriage and guide rails for contamination; clean if
required.

4. Grease the front guide runner block the lubricating nipple with
0.4 cm
3
grease.
5. Grease the rear runner block through the lubricating nipple with
0.4 cm
3
grease.
6. Move the runner blocks back and forth with three double
strokes; the distance should be equal to at least three times
the length of a runner block.
7. Check if there is a visible grease layer on the guide rails.
The X-axis runner blocks are lubricated.
Lubricating the
Y-axis runner
blocks
Perform the following work steps:
1. Stand behind the inspection system.
2. Pull the X-axis toward yourself.
3. Check guide carriage and guide rails for contamination; clean if
required.

4. Grease the two front runner blocks on the Y-axis with 0.4 cm

grease.
5. Grease the two rear runner blocks on the Y-axis with 0.4 cm
3
grease.
6. Move the runner blocks back and forth with three double
strokes; the distance should be equal to at least three times
the length of a runner block.
7. Check if there is a visible grease layer on the guide rails.
The Y-axis guide carriages are greased.
